31. goldstone shows his hand
joel ,   ossining usa   (10.21.09)
The personal hurt and disappointment that Goldstone feels towards the Israel government, shows that he was unable to fairly judge the situation. If he had been honest he would have refused the assignment. But it seems that he was more interested in making a point than acting as a judge.

George ,   Canada   (10.21.09)
Godeston. This man deserve respect and I believe him .He was in the ground and visited Gaza and sow the real devastating situation Palestinian are living in and what crimes the Israeli war machine made up against innocent civilians. He is absolutely right, there is no peace process and Israel doesn’t want one. Libernam is right too the Arab-Israeli conflict would not be resolved in the coming years, and people should "learn to live with it" The,.all these talks and negotiation are waste of time, and talk for talk in the hope with the time the conflict will be rotten to the core and Arabs give up as well .
33. Rebecca, put that little brain of yours into good use.
Noor ,   Palestine   (10.21.09)
"recognize a two state solution. Seems to me Noor has only read Ynet, not the PLO or Hamas charters. He's a graduate student of What?? " Never mind what the Charters say, mate, although I can say the same about the Likud Charter. However, I would be lowering my level to yours if I did. It's actions that speak louder than words, mate. Charters are words in scripted onto paper. Hamas has proven that it is willing to accept two states and has shown that it truly respects the peace process. I forgot to add a particular, crucial triviality in my last post, which was that Hamas, an organization notorious for sending suicide bombers into Israel,(something I deplore), halted this as of August, 2004. It learned that suicide attacks did nothing but de-ligitmize the Palestinian cause and make the Israeli oppressors seem like the true victims. Also, Hamas' willingness to appear at the Arab League and diplomatically prove that it supports normalization of ties with Israel and two states, also adds to my argument. However, the Likud Party, whether under the leadership of Bibi or otherwise, never mind Kadima and labor, has proven time and time again that it rejects the legitimate Palestinian right to self-determination. Just look, the illegal settlement enterprise is expanding in the illegally occupied West Bank. When you learn to use what God gave you, and reject submitting yourself to Zionist brainwashing, contemporary middle eastern politics will seem more rational. Unfortunately, you have refused to be enlightened by reality. Go ahead, put that in your pipe and smoke it.
34. To Noor ,Palestine,You are fighting against a bee nest full
George ,   Canada   (10.21.09)
ull of extremists, I admire your honestness, knowledge and your talkback .The human history didn’t know a support for an ugly and illegal occupation like the case of Palestine. Why? The Jews rule America and America rule the world. God be in your help.

Noor, you do not have the right to bash the people who write talkbacks here. "Rebecca, put that little brain of yours into good use." Didnt your mama teach you better ???

I listened carefully to goldstone and the rabbis.Since he reads these talkbacks and since the negative ones distress him, I have a few comments that may be of interest to him. Why didn't you cross examine the witnesses? The middle east is given to wild, fanciful rhetoric that is perceived as reality. You should have cross- examined the witnesses for credibility. Now you seem to be attributing to the idf god-like powers of discrimination between military and civilians. The idf does not have such power or time. A rocket is fired from a building, the building gets destroyed. You condemn israel for destroying various food factories. How do you know for certain that hamas was not there like at shifa hospital, since hezbollah and hamas announce to the world their strategies. And if rockets keep firing at israel, then israel has to stop them. So if israel destroys such factories, hamas either stops or gazans force it to stop. If they don't stop, then they starve, and maybe then they stop. Now, with bibi after cast lead instead of 50 rockets a day there are maybe 1-3. Why, because haniyeh does not want to get hammered again and because he is afraid of lieberman and rightly so.So one million israelis are happy the idf did what they did. Prior to that, the gutless and hapless olmert did nothing about rocket fire, complained to the UN which did nothing in return, and 60 rockets were fired per day by hamas who mocked israel. These are real facts, not academic legal exercises. If your work would lead to potential investingation of hamas figures in the hague, maybe it could be positive, even if israel is also charged.Clearly, and I think you would have to admit that the rules of war do not adequatley cover conventional armies fighting terror or liberation entities hiding amongst the civilian population. You are living comfortably in London with your wife while israel is being hammered on all sides following your report. And hamas is satisfied. That should bother you.
39. "noor" on the warpath making
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (10.21.09)
making greater and greater dislocations of history, praising Hamas as a peacemaker which, he says, no longer sends teenagers and Down Syndrome suicide bombers into Israel because they (Hamas) discovered such a method was ineffective. And never mind what they (Hamas) says, it's the facts on the ground that count, like the peaceful 8,000 missiles launched into civilian sites in southern Israel by Hamas over the past nine years. For a while there I actually thought that dear "noor" was a harmless high IQ English intellectual playing the part of a modern day romantic freedom fighter from his safe perch in the UK and whose most distinguished attribute was exciting female undergraduate students but now, I am afraid, considering "noor's" latest posts, that "poor noor" is actually taking himself seriously and is really losing it in the way that people with troubled minds do. For instance, "noor" keeps saying "put that in your pipe and smoke it" suggesting that one of his (noor's) troubles is that he, himself, is "smoking" too much of that ever so harmless but poignant weed often harvested in "noor's" beloved mideast and North Africa. This will not do as "noor" still has a PhD Thesis to complete and his English professors will not put up with his lack of logic and nonsense the way Ynet does.
40. I am sorry can't stop laughing
ghostq   (10.21.09)
he sounds like 4 year old saying "I didn't push my sister in the playground" and she really didn't got hurt she is just a crying", he feels guilty but the damage he did is massive, mega massive not only for the image cause now every time Israel will retaliate rockets shooting she will have to secure her own troops with militery lawyers just in case a clown who never even lived in the ME will make gibrish report, and it will cost more money to Israel witch I think they can sue Goldston A$$ for court fees.
41. #33 Noor
Cynthia ,   USA   (10.21.09)
Hamas may have halted suicide bombings but they never halted terror attacks. They do not support normalization of ties with Israel or a two state solution. They support a one state solution called Hamastan. Put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig. Hamas can't even make peace with Fatah.
