As a German living in Spain I can assure you that neither German nor Spanish majority of voters would like to see Turkey in the Union. One thing is being politically-correct and speaking about culture diversity, a completely different issue is having to cope with tens of millions of Muslims. My home land is already swamped with Turkish, and Spain... well, Spain is already half muslim. For most of us Turkey has nothing to do with Europe, neither in terms of culture nor when it comes to progress. It's a nice place to visit for vacations getting to know a different culture (personally, I prefer Morocco - it's closer and people are nicer), but that's about it. I should remind you that Holland withdrew their candidacy for the EU presidency because their candidate was pro-Turkish joining to the EU. So leave Turkey where they should be (Middle East).

This whole thing stinks! The FBI appears to have a thing with Israel and it certainly does its best to smear Israel. What was the crime here? The FBI bribed this guy to commit crime that he would otherwise not have committed. He did not spy for anybody, because the information stayed with the FBI (if you believe that they do not leak information abroad). If the US justice system intends to process this case, there is a serious problem with the juridical institutions in the US in general. The law enforcement is allowed to tempt people to commit crimes in order to prosecute them afterwards. Absurd!!
