The love in your heart astounds me. When I grow up I want to be just like the opposite of you. Don't you have the ability to express yourself without attacking your audience with insults? Did the Marine Corp take your brain away? I was a Marine in Viet Nam. It never took away my humanity. You are not worthy of the name you give yourself because you are only faithful to yourself. You smear the good name of men who fought and died under that banner.
32. Rambam 29 . I agree , every observant Jew
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.03.09)
knows that they may NOT use a "normal" elevator on Shabbat . So why had this Rabbi to say it ? When he was talking he CERTAINLY refered to Shabbat elevators , not to the "normal" ones .

If the "observant Jew" agrees with the rabbi's posek and decides to walk up 7 flights of stairs with infants and etc. in his arms, more power to him. Would love to see the 70/80 year old rabbi do the same. Just don't bet on it ever happening.

When the rabbi is able to point out to me the exact verbiage in the Torah that it is forbidden to use electricity, then I will bow down to his superior knowledge. Distorting the language of the Torah has evolved into a game for the rebbunim in order to suit whatever form of desire needed by the particular individual. However if you wish to accept the poseks, that certainly is your right to do so.

After reading this article, I would say that these "rabbits" should not be allowed to procreate, for fun or otherwise. Running electricity all day-WASTEFUL Elderly people-no lift-REDICULOUS Nose picking--OK?????? FOOOOO! Crocs-NoNo??? Really????? The Sabbath was made for man, not man was made for Sabbath. This does not mean you are allowed to do work. Try and stop a drilling rig over here, because some nut case says stop!!!! On the other hand if you go along with this---well what can I say!! Shame on a government that allows this or allows laws to be passed for a loafer's priviledge to dream up foolishness.

"There is nothing new here - those unable to climb the stairs who bother to ask, will be given a ruling that they may use the elevators" If it really violated Shabbat, no exceptions could be given. Does it occur to our people that the Rabbis just want to be the source and denial of all things in life. Want a wife? Ask the Rabbi. Want a job, ask the Rabbi? Want to use and leveator, ask the Rabbi? Where does common sense begin and foolishness stop. IT IS NOT TORAH. Elevators are not cattle, sons, slaves and are not working nor lighting fire. The people that provide the electricity are the same ones that keep hotplates warm.
