I doubt that Iran or Turkey wishes to tangle with the full faith and credit of the United States Navy, although it is interesting to contemplate all the Iranian and/or Turkish flotsam and jetsam that would pollute the international waterways were they to try. The embargoes against arms shipments to state sponsors of terror and/or terrorist organizations have been spearheaded by the United States and have been endorsed by the United Nations. (See the link provided below). Although United Nations resolutions are not enforceable or legally binding, in practice these seem to work, and where necessary, the responsible nations have vetoed such resolutions: Two for two. Nice that you brought up a resolution but what about resolutions Israel hasn't commit to? It goes by UN Resolution 242 calling all territories Israel occupies as illegal and must leave them. Hamas and Hezbollah are doing just that by forcing Israel out of them.
