Reading your post, I thought of the assassination of the arch creep Mughniyeh, and enjoyed not only my own smile, but a sincere laugh. If I were you, I wouldn't mistake our confidence for slowness. You may benefit by recalling that the IDF destroyed virtually everything in southern Lebanon within a relatively brief amount of time just a couple of Augusts ago, including the international airport . The only reason they stopped was that their capablility to destroy the entire nation made George Bush nervous. That they were also capable of placing their hands upon Mughniyeh is nothing less than assuring, if not aoutright amusing. It is only a matter of time until they get Nasrallah, too. As for any spike in exchanges, may I suggest that without air power or naval power, the Hesbollah relies mostly upon propaganda and soup kitchens to maintain it's following? You can give a thousand poor men a uniform and field train them, but they cannot outrun missiles. And once the next round comes round, how many other civilians will agree to be placed under buildings so that Nasrallah may claim "victory"? Afterall, there certainly must be some sort of learning curve even among the disenfranchised poor of southern Lebanan--and in spite of the misfired opining of such as yourself. As for Israel's learning curve, I suspect greatly that what they took home from Leb2 is that their next first action shall be to directly destroy Nasrallah and the base--even if it is under Assad's mattress in Damascus. They are a puny militia armed with Iranian supplied rockets and nothing else. No planes, no tanks, no armored division, no major artillery, and they are about 1/50th the size of the Israeli army. 2) If you want to meet in the Hague, then you'll be there visiting the Palestinian leaders who are on trial, right? Remember, it was Goldstone who said the Palestinians have been committing war crimes by attacking Israeli civilians. Since they've been doing that for decades, it means not just Hamas, but Fatah will be on trial too.... and Nasrallah. We're staying put and we're not afraid of Hezbollah "balls of fire".
