1. Typical poop from the Arabs
Al   (11.15.09)
Is there any wonder why they are stuck in the 12th century. Israel is in a crappy neighborhood.
2. Jordanian "unaware" that Jordan is Palestine

3. Good News
Cynthia ,   USA   (11.15.09)
Economic cooperation between Israel and Jordan is a win win situation for both countries. The Palestinians are famous for refusing economic cooperation with Israel. That should not influence the business transations between Israel and Jordan.
4. Sure, why not?
Zvi   (11.15.09)
It's good for Israel and it's good for Jordan. Jordan itself has about 50% Palestinian citizens, and what is good for the Jordanian economy is good for these Palestinians and all other Jordanians. But seriously, why does EVERYTHING in Arab - Israeli relations need to be about reinforcing hatred of Israel on behalf of Palestinians who do not actually benefit from that hatred?
5. I can live without Jordanian olives...
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (11.16.09)
... but can Jordanians live without Israeli money?
6. Trade with Jordan helps Jordan
Ilan ,   Ariel   (11.16.09)
Typical. They are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face. Israel could easily import olives from Greece, Spain or Italy but trade with Jordan is one of the few perks of peace with Jordan. BTW, we give Jordan water and they take it and sell it back to us as olives. We could just keep the water and grow our own just as easily. No trade, no peace no water. Better for us all that they should learn to appreciate peace.
7. Agree with #6 - we give them water for free!
(11.16.09)
Why on earth do we give them more water than what we signed in the peace agreement? What do we get in return? They mark Israeli vegetables with a special tag so consumers may boycott Israeli produce. Jordan is Palestine. The kingdom won't stand if the king keeps shooting himself in the foot.
8. Mangoes?
shuebydoo ,   USA   (11.16.09)
Wow I didn't know mangoes a tropical fruit could be grown in a mediterranean climate. I saw banana groves when I visited Israel earlier this year and was surprised because this is a tropical fruit. Israel has truly become a land of "milk and honey." Praise to Hashem for His blessings on israel!
9. Olive Purchase
Robert W ,   Canada   (12.08.09)
If you are a buyer of produce, there are always many options as to where you can buy your goods. If the Jordanian growers really want to support the West Bank Growers, and then let the Jordanian growers send part of their sale to the West Bank Growers; or buy there produce and supply the Jordanian market with West Bank product. The West Bank growers should stop acting like victims and start supplying the global market with their produce. Israel owes the growers NOTHING!! The West-Bank Growers could under price the Jordanian, Syrian and the Iranian growers; after all the entire West Bank Economy is European Subsidized by European taxpayers!!
