1. Annex territories and...
Keren ,   IL-BR   (11.15.09)
...start to deport to arb lands all arb muslims of Israel. Do it quitely, steadily and diplomaticaly. Send few of them for set periods-every 6 months, every 3 months...-,step by step, but steadily. Work with this idea in diplomatic realms, but do not fear and do the right thing. Do it uniterally because there is no point for Israel to stand anymore with the madness it has been standing.
2. UN created what is Israel, not Haganah, Irgn or Stern
Ann   (11.15.09)
3. Which ministry has Barak been offered in the PA
zionist forever   (11.15.09)
We must negotiate with the palestinians or else there will be demand for a binational state. The man is welcome to think that and discuss it in cabinet meetings but only a fool starts openly talking about there will be pressure to go with the binational idea ( palestinians prefered choice ). This statement could alsmost have come from the mouth of Seab Erikat the palestinian propoganda minister. Barak should be saying we want to reach a negotiated solution but we will not accept any unilateral action taken by palestinians. He certainly shouldn't even be putting the binational state idea into peoples heads. Palestinians will now start repeating Baraks speech and say give us what we demand right now or we demand a binational state.
4. @ No. 2
AJ - Raalte   (11.15.09)
What nonsense! The Yishuv prepared for and created the State of Israel. Otherwise it would have been destroyed in 1948, since no UN-peace keepers were dispatched to help protect the tiny reborn Jewish state. All the UN did was acknowledge ther was no possibility for Jews and Arabs to live in peace tegether, at least not in one state with an Arab majority!
5. #1 return '47 Arab partition lands!!!
Nour ,   Palestine   (11.15.09)
No need to "deport" anyone dear, since clearly the Galilee is Arab, and always has been! In fact the PLO is about to assume sovereignty over ALL areas allocated to the Arab state as per the '47 partition plan dear!!!
6. Think smart and rational;not emotionally
Josepe verde ,   Italy   (11.15.09)
This is not the right step to deport arabs and it is not even practical.Israel will be seen as a state over the law.rather Israel should keep negotiating until reaching fair deal.Remember, all creatures and states have start and end.You should think rational under pressure; Not imotineally.
7. #1 Keren:
Wildmandxb ,   M.E.   (11.15.09)
How about you go back to where you came from? you are an immigrant so that solves the problem easily, the arabs you are thinking of deporting are the indigineous population!
8. unilateral declaration of Independence
maurice c ,   Ireland   (11.15.09)
with the declaration of indepence the palestinians would be temporarily cut off from electricity and water and health facilities
9. UN should declare this option if no peace deal in 2 yrs
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas   (11.15.09)
Set a time limit for peace talks of 2yrs then use this option only if they fail. This would give time for PA to try and setup a real government and make peace with Hamas. Building in some settlements should continue while others must stop building. This is the first step to work out but will be hard to control settlers without starting a civil war. Right now the settlers see the only option as deporting all Muslims.
10. The only basis for an accommodation is 242
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.15.09)
UN Security Council Resolution 242 has been the basis for and the governing resolution of all peace talks and agreements to date, and must continue to be so in the future. 242, wisely, does not mention the setting up of an additional state between the River and the Sea! 242, wisely, does not expect Israel to withdraw its troops to specific lines but rather to lines agreed upon with its neighboring states which would be secure and recognized! 242, wisely, does not talk at all about non-Israeli citizens coming to reside inside the Jewish state! UN Security Council Resolution, wisely, does not mention even once concepts such as "Palestine", "Palestinians" or "Palestinian state". Let's us focus on 242, as is, if we want an accommodation of peaceful coexistence between Israel and its Arab neighbors. The question is: Do these neighbors actually wish to reach an accommodation of peaceful coexistence with the nation-state of the Jewish people whose nature they refuse to accept and with which the refuse to accept a peace treaty that would be considered the "end of the conflict"...??
11.  It is sad to notice that most peoples are simply not ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (11.15.09)
It is sad to notice that most peoples are simply not well informed… The historical and political truth about our rights and legitimity is unquestionable. Mistakes done by Israeli government(s) in Anapolis or before should not be respected and should be put right immediately. No Jewish leader has the right to abandon any part of the Land of Israel. The Jews have the right to build and live freely in their country. We have modern political rights dating back to the First World War: "After World War I, the borders and countries that today make up the Middle East were created - Iran, Iraq, Syria, etc. Modern Israel was created the same way! The countries of the world charged Britain [in the San Remo Resolution of 1920, based on the League of Nations and Balfour Declaration] with creating a 'national homeland' for the Jewish People, based on the 'historical rights' of the Jews, and calling for Jewish immigration and settlement here. Only a quarter of the land, including Hevron and Shechem, originally designated for the Jews by the League of Nations, was left for us. The historical and political truth at: http://xrl.us/berwte
12. #7 "Go Back?"
Dabosshog   (11.15.09)
Wow you ignorance of reality if stunning. There are still people like you that just can't bring themselves to learn about the region they speak about. "Go back " Indeginous people. YOu fool if you wanted to go by historical or scientific facts this arguement would have been over long ago. Since u refuse to learn any jewish history then plz enliten us on some so-called palistinian history. That is if you can since there is none.

14. Takes Two To Tango Guys
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (11.15.09)
To Eitan: I agree totally with your assessment. I have watched the conflict for decades. UN242 is the only viable solution to this 100yr old conflict. All the other plans, Saudi most especially are frought with the probability of a major war. The so-caled right of return is a non-starter, but is always emphasized by the Pales leaders. I mean come on my dear Arab buddies, get real. Its like the US admitting 5m Al Qaeda. Never! Agreed to borders.. a demilitarized Pales state with some Israeli control at sensitive spots along border. I also liked the Allon Plan, with modifications. This is NOT really about borders..it's about acceptance. So far, I hear nothing but empty, meaningless rhetoric. Declaring a state? Takes two guys.
15. try reality for a change
sharon ,   near Gaza   (11.15.09)
Does anyone in this government realize what is happening in the world? People are fed up with Israel and its ridiculous words that have no meaning. Does anyone think Israel can stand alone? Either we start moving forward or reality will do it for us.
16. Fact is most Israelis have never been to the west bank
Yossi ,   Haifa   (11.15.09)
Most Israelis have never even been to the westbank and why would they? It is occupied Palestine with a contingent of fanatical violent settlers who hate secular people anyway , so as far as im concerend no big loss ! When it is restored to its rightful owners the Palestinans we will be happy to visit in peace.
17. #12: is that all u got?
Wildmandxb ,   M.E.   (11.15.09)
calling me a fool and ignorant? that's your comeback? that's how you want to prove your lies to me? anyways, my father, grand father, great grandfather were born there, i don't care about all the mess you were hinting about, all i care about are the FACTS that i know...go back to where you came from, immigrant!

NYC Girl   (11.15.09)
Since you seem to have all the answers, exactly where do you propose that all those Israelis, whose origins were in Arab and Muslim countries, go back to? Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Iran? Oh, yes. Definitely Iran. That would be an absolutely brilliant idea. Your problem is that you're under the mistaken impression that all Israelis originally came from Europe, while the reality is more than half of them came from the Middle East in addition to all the Israelis who are native born...not a few of them even before Israel became a state. The facts are out there. There's no reason not to educate yourself on the subject.

20. ..lot of smokescreen..
Alex ,   UK   (11.15.09)
..but 2 important things are clear - 1) declaration of Arab Palestinian State automatically means final recognition of Israel 2) refugees issue is also solved automatically There is a risk of border dispute, and no peace agreement, but PA are not idiots to start war, they know too well what happened in Lebanon and Gaza. Unsolved issues will remain.. but that's not the only place in the world where there are unsolved issues of this type. There should be mechanism preventing weapons smuggling from Iran when IDF is pulled out. The best solution is NATO peacekeeping force as in Bosnia (even better solution is neutralizing Iran and other jihadi sponsors, - but that's not short-term perspective) Overal - with some control from Israeli side, that might work As usual, this is another opportunity that will be spoiled in the last minute by Arabs, no doubts.
21. Barak made an important point:
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (11.15.09)
This is the first time I can recall agreeing with him but ruling over others, from a psychological perspective, also twists and injures us. As a result of this situation, we become less honest with ourselves (you can see that on Talkbacks), shifting our logic to rationalize our current deadlock. This uses up an enormous amount of psychic energy better used elsewhere. We are in a precarious position. I can't be more specific as this thought is not well crystallized. On the other hand, I cannot forsee a solution which would encompass both our security and our rights.
22. Syria
Eytan ,   Miami   (11.15.09)
We know what the syrians want and we won't give it to them because 1/it's ours 2/our soldiers died for the Golan 3/they'll destroy everything there like the Egyptians did in Taba and the Palestinians in Gush Katif. We fight hard and then we develop, they beg and then they destroy because they do not really care about the land, they just want to see us go. 23. Thanks, Eytan:
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (11.15.09)
I went to the webpage you referred us too and watched (and clapped along) with the "fastest davening Jew alive", a Breslover, of course. I've always enjoyed them dancing and singing atop car rooves, the hippies of the Chasidic kingdom. If ever I were to be a decent Jew, I'd knock either at the Breslovers' door or the Lubavitchers'. Of course both of them would tell me I was "decent" already.
24. Eli Yishai
Michael ,   Haifa   (11.15.09)
In the event that the Palestinians set up a state next door, Yishai can conveniently push the disease-bearing kids of foreign workers over the border....a proud Jewish act
25. Israel's imperialism
observer   (11.15.09)
Israel is denying others the right of acquiring statehood in the same way that Israel had gained statehood. The excuse used by Israel is the same that was used by the ancient colonial power; that people is deficient and can't rule themselves. is it David's complex which Israel suffers from?
26. No.18 NYC girl:
Wildmandxb ,   M.E.   (11.15.09)
The problem is that you jump to conclusions! i don't believe that all israelis came from your nor have i ever believed in such a thing...i know most of them came from the middle east and many were born there...but when someone like keren at no.1 has the audacity to ask for the deportation of the people who where born there, then i have to respond, don't you think so?
27. saeb erekat is more clever than silvan shalom
dani   (11.15.09)
he wants an israeli reaction, doofus. the goal is to push the israelis into over-reacting and creating a situation where there will be international intervention. its a long shot for them but its their only hope. idiots like silvan shalom will only help them in this pursuit.
28. not transfer but completing the exchange of populations
bernard ross ,   st anns bay, jamaica   (11.15.09)
India and pakistan exchanged populations, also serbia. the jewish refugees from arab lands now need to be completed by the arabs to muslim lands. This will bring justice so the population exchange is not one sided.
29. Shalom Simhon.
s ,   UK   (11.15.09)
Shalom Simhon says this is not the right thing for the Palestinians He decided so, why does not let them decide their own interests, or he wants to treat them like a nany with her kids, totally idiotic, how could Israel have such politicians to run their country?
