1. Revolving door policy:Absurd
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (11.23.09)
That the Prime Minister’s Office announced today –Monday that some of the recent reports regarding a prisoner exchange deal for Shalit’s release “are not credible and some of them are even intentionally distorted” Of course they are. Barghouti ‘s brother can dream on. No release a terrorist full stop. We have been going down the same road many times without getting any acceptable result, only a bigger headache to confront.. Once the terrorists are released, they begin where they left on. It would add to more demands with an increase of their ilk to replenish their shortages. This revolving door policy has to be abandoned immediately.
2. NO! Release the mass murderer? Are you crazy?
bjl ,   usa   (11.23.09)
So he can go back and organize more killings? Insanity!

Cohen   (11.23.09)
With Israel's feckless irresponsible leaders I wouldn't be surprised that this terrorist's brother is saying the truth.
5. These animals will be hunted until the day they die.
Ben Tzion ,   Boston   (11.23.09)
Does anybody here really think Barghouti and his cohorts will last any longer than Sheikh Yassin?
6. They should inject Barghouti with some horrible virus so...
Jo ,   Karmiel   (11.23.09)
when he is released he will infect all his friends and all the Dreks will die in agony.
7. It will soon be time for Feiglin, time for Transfer
Ronny ,   TLV   (11.23.09)
8. Shalit release
Grant Thomas ,   Brookfield, WI, USA   (11.23.09)
Why are the Israelis so preoccupied over ONE captured soldier? Don't you know that dozens have been killed by the terrorists, and more will be killed by releasing prisoners? This makes absolutely no sense!
9. Hamas does not Want Barghouti It is ISRAEL To RELEASE HIM!
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (11.23.09)
Barghouti is not hamas member but he is FATAH member which is hostile to Hamas Therefore it is not HAMAS who want him released, IT is ISRAEL to release him because he is a mosad agent and replacement for Abbas

Birdi ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
Very good point.
11. Mahmoud Abbas
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (11.23.09)
Mahmoud Abbas will have to find an excuse to postpone elections because he will lose it to Marwan Barghouti. (if the report that he will be freed is correct)
12. after all the tough talk bibi caved in as usual
zionist forever   (11.23.09)
Barak was not long ago making speeches saying how Hamas price was to high and we can't always bring soldiers home. Bibi was saying their price was to high. Then the fold and they agree to every single one of Hamas demands. Even Olmert was tough with Hamas and we waited this long because he was saying that Hamas demands were to high and he wasn't willing to pay it. Not only that but the price has gone right up since Gilad was taken but AS USUAL we caved in. The other day a palestinian charity was offering $1 million for anybody that kidnaps a soldier. The only reason they make these offers is because they know we are so pathetic that if they hold out long enough we will pay. As long as we adopt this policy of no price is to high nobody in Israel will ever be safe. Gilad is home today but tommorow there will be another Gilad taken and more suffering because the terrorists will want to trade him for another 1000+ killers. When Bibi was PM last time round one of the men he released from jail was the man who later went onto organize the Park Hotel massacre. Since oslo thousands of terrorists we have released have gone onto kill again. Bargouti is saying that armed resistance should be a tactic used alongside diplomacy. He is also no fool when it comes to politics and team him up with Obama and they will run rings around Bibi. The worst possible thing for Israel is to release Bargouti. Bibi has just become the laughing stock in the arab world.

dont embress the animals these are sub human savges they are lower then drek
14. Our Government needs to see a movie
Billy Bob ,   Stone Mountain GA   (11.23.09)
Inglorious Basterds. This is what Hamas, Fatah etc. will understand! I know that many fellow Americans rednecks will volunteer to do help Israel by doing this, it has been discussed in many VFW posts
15. We have no government to protect us!
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.23.09)
They are going to release prisoners with blood on their hands. These terrorists should have been executed when captured! If one Israeli is killed by one of these freed terrorists, then everyone involved in the deal should spend the rest of their miserable lives in prison. Never to see their families again! We should have started to execute a thousand prisoners for each hour Gilad was held. The gaza strip should have been carpet bombed till he was returned safe and sound with his captors. We cannot be a nation that shows mercy to our enemies. Did the allies show mercy to the germans in WWII? No one shows us mercy. They kill and injure us and the world pities the murderers.
16. Tayfun @9 A Mossad agent is he?
Kate ,   ISRAEL   (11.23.09)
Have you gone mad Tayfun.Barghouti a Mossad agent?if only this were true, how do you justify his imprisonment for the crimes he committed and in jail for so long eh shekerim Tayfun.?If that is the way you respond no wonder you are are censored. That he is part of Fatah yes,but then having Abass is enough for anyone, to deal with.Whereas Barghouti? Wow,if he is released(which I hope not) The situation will not improve either for Fatah,or most certainly for Israel. Now who needs another headache ?Not Israel for sure..I hope he rots in jail for the rest of his miserable life. Did you not see how free and easy the terrorists live in Israeli jails? it would not HAPPEN WERE HE TO BE INCARCERATED in one of the Turkish jails for sure. He looks as though he is on jogging trip, that is how well cared for they all are.Sorry Tayfun you've got the wrong end of THE STICK.
17. Terrorists murderers should be sentenced to death.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (11.23.09)
The State Attorney’s Office seems not to have been bothered by the fact that terrorists with blood on their hands continue to constitute a grave danger to the civil population. Quite simply, the rarified intellectual and moral universe that Menahem Mazuz and his fellow prosecutors inhabit is not the intellectual and moral universe that most Israelis live in. The prosecutors live in a world in which morality is an abstract issue, best adjudicated by professors, judges and themselves in the name of enlightened humanism. More at : http://xrl.us/kj6sj
18. Jo @6 Inject Barghouti? Well If I am allowed to say it?
James ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
Our Secret Services did a good job on Mishaal .Until the soft hearted late King Hussein begged Mossad to give him an antidote. And they did. So, just look where it has gotten us. He works from Damascus with his usual terroristic atitude giving orders from afar---the coward who SHOULD STILL BE "DEAD MAN WALKING" Not that I disagree with you at all.The less of the the better.
19. To zionist fore ever.Too true. When oh when are we going to
James ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
Are we going to have leaders who will not pander to world and have the GUTS to say:NO! It is allways thinking of world opinion, especially to the US. Israel is being pulled by the nose to adhere to what is to the detriment of Israel and not the reverse. To think we had such high hopes with Bibi. But he won the election on a mandate the people gave him and surely he has to abide by it. Or else he will lose the plot sooner than later. I have yet read/hear of any world's countries who not only give terrorists a cushy life in jail, but allow them free to roam with freedom even to conduct their own courts toward any dissidents among them. This is stranger THAN FICTION
20. jason I would have no qualms in executing them. But,
James ,   Israel   (11.23.09)
The But is: We abolished the death penalty and are stuck with it. I agree with you a 100% They should not be given jail sentences which costs our citizens to keep them in such comfort. Were I,or you in power no doubt about it ...we would carry the PUNISHMENT that fits THE CRIME. We seem to extrapolate by bringing in Germany and the allies during wrld war 2.We don't need any excuses to do what is right. And what is right is never to jail them, but just send them to an island where they'll never be able TO ESCAPE.This will be a compensation lacking of HANGING/SHOOTING Then hear the uproar from the dhimmi Jews, and ILK.
21.  Showing Barghouti manacled? BS!
James ,   ISRAEL   (11.23.09)
We saw this picture long ago,and it is now regurgitated. if he is manakled how does one justif the picture of him with his jogging outfit on,and getting quite well I guess in gymnasium. Preparations from long ago, for his day of release to get back TO HIS OLD TRICKS. Not like Kuntar (the slimey bastard) who came out fat and educated at the EXPENSE of the FAMILY HE MURDERED.Still no remorse. What was laughable when hassan te Hizb pig, avoided kissing him..ooo,there's a thought..
22. Make sure to give Bargoati all his shots
Berl ,   Formerly of Seattle   (11.23.09)
especially the H1N1 vaccine, we wouldn't want him to catch the SWINE Flu. What a party they will have when BHO and his idiot AG Holder set KSM and the other 4 9-11 terrorists free too.
23. lacuna between military court & int'l legal requirements
observer   (11.23.09)
A soldier or policeman may hold a suspect for four days, a police officer can extend it for an additional seven days and a higher ranking officer can add another seven days. In total, a person can be brought before a military judge for the first time after eighteen days of detention. Review and appeal procedures within the military court system, instituted in 1980, are not subject to outside scrutiny. Access to evidence is again denied the detainee and legal counsel, although the burden of proof is placed on the detainee to substantiate procedural complaints against his or her detention. Moreover, the reviews and appeals are conducted by military officers inferior in rank to the issuing officer, who is their commander, thus putting the independence and objectivity of the review and appeal under serious question.
