11 Talkbacks for this article
1. Hamas' "word"
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.23.09)
Oops! So much for Hamas' "word," let alone its ability to control all the Palestinian terrorist factions resident in Gaza. And the world thinks it would be a really swell idea to trust Hamas. May as well trust a scorpion not to sting. Scorpions do what comes natural to them. Terrorists do what comes natural to them. Sad, but true.
2. to Sarah
Eyal ,   USA   (11.23.09)
This is not just Hamas, this is the entire Arab world. They lie about everything. It's amazing, but the question we should be asking is, when did they ever tell the truth? heheh hahahah hoho
3. To: Eyal at No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.24.09)
I suppose you are right. They have lied to themselves for so long, it has become the "truth" for them -- you know, something along the lines of lush and verdant Palestine which was their home for generations (LOL); thriving and prosperous villages and towns in Palestine which were their home for generations (BIGGER LOL) .... pathetic, isn't it?
4. TO Sarah #2: I admire your passion for Israel...
andy ,   orlando   (11.24.09)
but if you are a true Zionist, as opposed to an armchair one, why don't you live in Israel full time? I myself am an armchair zionist.
5. Eliminate Hamas.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (11.24.09)
The lull in Gaza, like the Oslo Accords with Mr Arafat, is a fiction, but the Israeli government doesn’t understand that yet, and neither does the world. There will never be a “good” time for fighting Hamas. The ability of Hamas to inflict casualties is small. If we can eliminate Hamas, now is the time to do it. Six months or a year ago was much better. As to Hamas grip on Gaza consult : http://xrl.us/oxtnj
6. Andy, Armchair Psychologist:
Robert Haymond ,   Ashdod, Israel   (11.24.09)
The real question is, whether Sarah, or any other Talkbacker for that matter, adds something of value to our discussions. In Sarah's case, her value is consistent and inestimable whether or not one agrees with her on any particular subject. It is altogether unimportant where she resides. May I suggest, in the present case, that in your next contribution to Ynet you actually put some effort into your commentary either with an interesting perception with respect to a specific situation, contribution of a research variety or partial or even comprehensive analysis. In this way, both you and the rest of us may profit.
7. since when hamas stand behind what
ghostq   (11.24.09)
they r saing, a snail is better than they r.
8. #6 Touche! Both you and Sarah have
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (11.24.09)
made the talkbacks worth reading again.
9. not just lies
Ilana   (11.24.09)
Hamas does more than lie. They twist information and facts. They steal or try to our history and sites... The talkbackers that back Hamas willnow say that the rocket was a response to Israeli attack-as promised. They will ignore the chain of events - of why we attacked in the first place. Just as they did in the Operation Lead. 8 years of attacks on civilians was ignored and we went into Gaza out of the blue. Then if we happen to mention the 8 years, they will say that rockets only land in open areas. They cannot imagine that there are logical people who know and understand the situation. They must really think Hamas are retarded if their purpose was to only launch rockets into open areas!!! Then they think that kibbutzim ithat get hit in the negev are in the Dimona area... The twists, lies, and propaganda grows. Pinocchio's nose is so long it goes all around the world a few times.
10. To: Andy at No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.24.09)
We've considered it. My youngest is ten. Once he is safely ensconced in high school (boarding school), we probably will. Maybe before then, should the situation in Israel deteriorate to a point where we feel we should be there. Nothing wrong with being an "armchair Zionist," by the way.
11. Thank you Robert and Joe
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.24.09)
for your kind words.
