The OFICL sent a letter to Clinton, the State Dept. treaty compliance division, the US Justice Dept.'s inspector Gen., and others this week demanding the U.S. stop the pressure that under a treaty violates Israel's border rights which include Judea & Samaria...AKA the West Bank, all Jerusalem, etc.. Under the treaty, the US recognized the rights of Jews to settle anywhere within these borders. OFICL is filing a lawsuit in the US district Court to force the Obama Govt to comply according to the principle of estoppel, which prohibits Obama from doing anything, either by action or words that contradict a prior commitment, like the treaty in question. The settlers are making much ado about nothing. 1. A 10 month delay is only for new housing other building is going on. 2. The delay is only for new starts, building in progress will continue. 3. Most important the Palestinians will reject the deal. 4. The USA administration will see the Palestinians as obstructionists, they want all or nothing. Overall the 10 month moratorium is a good political move. The settlers should not seem to be against peace talks. Their best strategy would be to keep silent and wait.
