Jeff ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.28.09)
This country would be 10 times better and more equipped to deal with Arab B.S. if they orthodox contributed something TANGIBLE, and produced something TANGIBLE. And you haredim know it! Enough with your yeshiva enrollment scams. I'm sick of you non productive parasites.

8. Great stuff!
Gilad ,   London UK   (11.28.09)
Finally normal people come out to have their voice heard. This is not the Jerusalem I was born in. In teh past 15 years it's consistently degraded in the sense of freedom and personal development, hence people fleeing. It's a poverty-stricken city with countless issues and religious intolerence. I hope that the new mayor can restore it to it's former glory in terms of personal freedom and the sense of the city as historic rather than poor, the kind that existed 20-30 years ago.

11. Haredi extremeists
A Jerusalmeite ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (11.28.09)
In no democratic country is a small minority permitted to make rules for the majority. That is Iran. Speaking out, demonstrating and demanding of our politicians laws for the *majority* is the way to go.
12. The March Included many Observant Participants
Andrew ,   Jerusalem   (11.28.09)
The Masorti Movement was pleased to have over 350 of our own participate in what was not an anti-Haredi rally, but a pro-freedom of religion for all march. A large number of the participants were not secular and the president of the Rabbinical Assembly, and Nofrat Frankel-the Masorti women arrested at the Kotel for wearing a Talit during Woman of the Wall prayers, spoke.

16. Ultra-Orthodox/Haredi will be downfall of Israel
David ,   Tel Aviv   (11.28.09)
Between the Haredi who want to bring Israel back to the stone age and the Ultra-Orthodox extremists who build illegal settlements and give Israel a bad name around the World...who needs enemies like Hamas and Hezbollah?
17. #14 Sagi im with you
Avi ,   israel   (11.29.09)
You are 100 % right i think the only solution to the charideem is a civil war within Israel, we need to uproot this evil while we still can. i saw this situation acomong long time ago, as they were not dealt with properly in the first place. We will not allow Israel to become a jewish version of iran. i work i pay my taxes i serve in the army yet i am still denied my basic rights by a bunch of fanatics who contribute nothing to society. Come the day we will rise against them.
18. religious fundejudgementalists !!!!!

20. coerion
amw ,   jerusalem   (11.29.09)
our right to erz ysrael is only because of the torah and shabbous is in the torah. what difference does it make if they have been doing so for 24 years. when they find a person smuggling or doing things like madour they should let him go as he has been doing it for years. same logic. also when the govt dotle yemin children and morrocans and put them in inreligoius kibutzzim no one cried anti torah coerion. we hear the same talk parisites.not army etc. who works on yaki or yad sarah etc onlt they religious. it is a shame that i read the talk backs obly against the chredim awa
21. as a frum chareidi jew myself i support this demonstration
chaim ,   brooklyn ny   (11.29.09)
if i would have been in jerusalem,i would have joined this demonstration against these hooligans, how dare they force religion down someones throat,
22. It's amazing
nr ,   los angeles, usa   (11.29.09)
that the power of prayer is worthless to these people. I find it hard to believe that religious people marched in this rally - what religion? Muslim? The haredim are constanly marginalized in Israeli society - what choice do they have but to riot?
23. Haredi Thugs
Daniel Freedman ,   Cleveland Heights, O   (11.29.09)
I can't say how appauled I am by these Haredi threatening others, causing such problems and yet they receive everything and it still isn't enough for them. Who do they think they are? The defenders of Torah, I think not...I don't need them to protect anything for me and I am sure G-d Himself doesn't require their outlandish sinful behaviors in the name of Torah. Expel them if they refuse to act like human beings.
24. #7 Paco the arab wacko is back!!!!
Semper Fi! ,   San Diego, USA   (11.29.09)
The Haredi could have had a point if it wasn't for the support of the moron's king: Paco the caveman in Eurabia. Check out #9 #10 imbecility. They are associated with Paco, the arab wetback in an undefendable cause of the Jewish talibans
25. Shabes, Shabes.
(11.29.09)
Money, money. Pay me, pay me.
26. Paco @ 7, sit this one out, would you.
leo ,   usa   (11.29.09)
27. Odd you'd think he's talking about Israeli-Arab citizens
Elokim ,   Israel   (11.28.09)
AND NOT JUST JEWS!!!! Yehonatan Alazar, a religious local, told Ynet. "It's unheard of that a small group will dictate everyone's actions and cause them to leave town. What bothers me about the struggle against Intel is that (haredim) are forcing others to desecrate the Shabbat, just as they do themselves. Their interest is not the Shabbat, but rather, the power struggle in Jerusalem," he said.
28. # 7
Israel Forever. ,   Israel   (11.29.09)
As a Canadian you hav eno right to tell us Israel is not our land, so do be quiet.
29. Good luck
