1. Breakdown of Command Structures
Adam Neira ,   Melb, Australia   (11.29.09)
I love the verve and dynamism of Israelis. There are good historical and existential reasons for this generally positive character trait. There are very few other nations on earth where the populace is so aware of the prevailing power structures. However it looks like certain command and control structures might be in danger of breaking down. We don't want a civil war or repeat of the Rabin episode. The issues of land ownership, sovereignty, control and management are magnified in the case of Judea and Samaria. An overarching vision and plan must be enunciated and acted upon for all of the residents of the Holy Land to put a stop to any possible violence. Someone ordained to do so will be able to explain to all how his decisions and judgements have been reached. G-d did say that a certain type of reign would be quite simple and efficient, nu ? Problems require problem solvers.
2. Not to worry, halt a temporary inconvenience that will show
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.29.09)
the PA will never sign a peace treaty. They will never give up J'lem and neither will Israel. It is all talk and a ten month inconvenience payment for the settlers. Nasty but better than giving up land permanently.
3. It is high time we cease presenting "plans" and "negotiate"
Avihu ,   Petah Tiqvah, Israel   (11.29.09)
them amongst ourselves. It is time we demanded the Arabs came up with plans and we said "yes", or "no". The Arabs have only one goal in mind: eliminate the Jewish state of Israel, regardless of its size - past, present and future. When them come with a plan that will convince us that this is not their goal, only then can we either take it or leave it.

Be quite mofaz you had your opportunity with livni and co and failed miserably and brought us to where we are today..
6. Mofaz the Hypocrite
Ari ,   NYC USA   (11.29.09)
I thought I've seen hypocracy among Israeli politicians but Mofaz takes the cake. Just days prior to Netanyahu's moratorium, Mofaz advocated ceding The WB as well as the Golan. He plays both ends just to get votes and has no real convictions. What a dangerous hypocrite.

Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (11.29.09)
1. A Palestinian state will be "less than a state". 2. The Jordan Valley must be viewed in the widest sense of the word and must remain in Israel's hands. 3. Jerusalem will remain united and will include such locales presently outside of the city as Giv'at Zeev and Ma'aleh Adumim. Rabin's approach, in other words, was not much different than Mofaz's and most other Israeli leaders: right, left and centre. There is only one problem: The Arabs, to this day, refuse to accept Israel's right to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people and refuse to see a peace agreement as the "end of the conflict". And since it is clear what the implications of such refusals are, Israel must do all to protect itself from those who are still eager to eliminate it, something that they have attempted to do time after time. They have not been successful up to now. There is no guarantee that they will always fail....!!!

I agree with you 100% ; Mofaz is a political opportunist, and his opinion should not be published whatsoever. an air head like him is causing an eternal damage to Israel ! Had anyone asked why Abbas and his allies from Europe to south America why he is insisting on settellment freeze? This means one thing and one thing only! future Pali state would be an enemy to Israel because they can not tolerate Jews to live peacably among them. So tell it on the mountain: The palis do not intend to live in peace even if they got their own country! Let us not halucinate any longer.
10. Earth to Mofaz Olmert started the freeze in August 2008
jason ,   haifa   (11.29.09)
Mofaz is incompetent. Jpost reported Olmert started the freeze in August 2008. Mr I won't leave Likud and then the next day leaves Likud Mofaz has no credibility.
11. the sooner Kadima dissapears from Israeli politics the bette
zionist forever   (11.29.09)
Livni is a waste of space and the only reason she got as many votes as she did is because she tried to play on the fact she was a woman to get the female vote. The country was sick of corruption after Sharon and Olmert and as Livni was a new comer and she tried to offer an image of being whiter than white. Also as she had never been PM before whilst she could condemn Barak & Netanyahu for their past failings they couldn't do the same to her. As for Mofaz he is a bitter oportunist. He followed Sharon into Kadima because he thought that would be god for his career. For a little while it looked like he might be able to overthrow Livni as head of Kadima he failed so now he has his own policies. He has become like an independent opposition party within a party which is only going to help destroy the party. When Labour eventually manage to get their act together the left will start voting for them again as they have traditionally done. Kadima abandoned the right and they are the new comers to the left and don't have the same foundations as Labour.

The arabs did come up with a peace plan - the so-called Arab Initative. For all intents and purposes, you said no.
13. # 12 now it is their time to come with a correction to their

"peace plan" which Israel properly rejected. Let the Arabs debate amongst themselves how to revise their plan. In 62 years they came up with a single what APPEARS to be a peace-plan. Let them work harder, if they actually want to ever reach peace with Israel. I suspect they don't, and neither are you.
14. Bunnie, East Jerusalem was illegally "annexed"...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (11.29.09)
...and it will be the capital of the nascent Palestine. There's no way for you to explain away UNSCR 478. But it's certainly the reason that no Western government have moved their embassy's. See how facts and reality intrude on your nonsense? See: UNSCR 476 and 478.
