iran DOES NOT need its own enrichment plants in order to produce electricity - there are plenty of commercial sources for processed uranium. and it certainly doesn't need 10 more enrichment facilities. clearly, the mullahcracy's agenda is neither electricity, which it could do without its own enrichment, nor atomic weapons, which it could do in secret without press releases. instead, they are pursuing a policy based on mahdaviat, namely to provoke a war to end the world, and bring about the return of the mahdi, a moslem messiah figure who will rule the world... after it is destroyed. there is no other rational explanation for tehran's crazy defiance on the nuclear issue, and their deliberate provocations. simply put, they want us all to die.

i really feel sorry for are the Iranians living under this regime. those who align with the regime will get what they have coming. those who have more progressive, western, tolerant ideologies will suffer the same as the ignorant fanatics. you will probably be able to see the glow of the post iran country from here in the us if they had the ability to build ten facilities-which they don't and facilities built in mtns are worthless if you can't access them because they are under tons of rock. Iranians with means and education and connections if you haven't already left iran then make your plans quickly and hopefully you will be able to return to your homes under a new regime-not a fanatical theocracy.

the most inspected and monitored in the world. You have picked up the bad habit of comparing Iran to Nazi Germany. While Iran is the homeland for the largest Jewish population in the ME outside Israel, have you heard of ANY pogroms against the Iran Jews, or desecration of ANY of the tens of Synagogues located in Tehran and other Iranian cities? Wouldn't Iran discriminate against its native Jews if it were a Nazi nations? Are you aware of the fact that Iranian Jews elect a Jew to exclusively represent them in the Iranian parliament? And your answer is? Who is the "naive" one here?

A friend at a Thanksgiving dinner, told those at the table that he hates Iranians. One of the guests said, "you are a bigot". My response would have been, "Yes, I hate people who want me dead and say so". Please fellow Jews and Christian Zionists, write to your legislators. Encourage we (US/Israel) take out their 30 nuke sites NOW. We can do it..no troops required. We have 3 battleship groups in the Persian Gulf. We can bomb the Rev Guard military sites as well. The millions of protestors are waiting for US to free them. We must do it. I don't want NY or Tel Aviv nukes by Ahmad and his thugs.

Jews live as dhimmis in Iran and keep a low profile. There is not one rabbi in Iran to perpetuate and teach the religion. You would be mistaken to believe Jews feel comfortable with Iran's fanatic Holocaust denier president. While Jews have lived in Iran for centuries, an estimated 80,000 Jewish Iranians left Iran since '48 for countries where they could practice their religion without persecution or fear of arrest. Obviously Iran is no longer a place where a Jewish population can thrive.

i guess that there is no hope for the iranian people... Israel will have to attack and destroy Iran nuclear plants by themselves. the UN has proved again and again how ineffective he is and weak that cant even stop a country like Iran. prepare for a new age people... cuz when Israel will attack sooner or later Iran will suffer a huge damage because of its provocations... dont say you didnt got warned. The big dogs just waiting to be releashed from their leash.

White House: Iran isolating itself IRAN ISOLATING ITSELF !!! -???. OF CAUSE - SHIA ISLAM HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SEPARATE MOVMENT IN THE WORLD. A WORLD LEADER AND DICTATOR, IS ALWAYS SEPARATE, FROM THE ONES HE LEADS AND DICTATES OVER. THIS IS THE AIM OF SHIA ISLAM IN IRAN. ACTION IS REQUIRED, NOT TOTHLESS EXPRESSIONS OF WHAT IRAN IS DOING. CLEAR HYPOCRISY FROM NOOR, OR ELSE THE CHARACKTER MUST BE AN IDIOT ACCORDING TO MEE, IN REGARD TO THIS - Why cant the international community inflict just as much pressure on Israel and its continued illegal settlement construction as it does to the Iranians?'' SO SETTLEMENTS CONTINUATION, AND INTENTION TO WIPE ANOTHER NATION FROM THE MAP BY WAR, IS EQUAL IN THIS TALKBACKER. IF HYPOCRITICAL I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS TALKBACKER, WRITING IN ITS SELFEGOISTIC INTERESSTS, BUT IF REALY BELEIVING ITS OWN WRITING, IT MUST ACCORDING TO ME, BEE BOTH AN IDIOT AND A FOOL. Face it. Iran will not halt its nuclear program because it has a right not to. NOBODY INTENDED BY OUTWARD SPEACH, TO PUT AN END TO ANYBODY ELSE, HAS A RIGHT TO CONTINUE ON THAT PATH. Arn-Orao.

You can apply whatever spin you like. International law is very clear, and I have in the past provided links for you which prove beyond a doubt that Israel's presence in Judea and Samaria is fully legal, as are the settlements. But you go on believing whatever nonsense you wish to believe. In the meantime, facts on the ground seem to be in dispute with your perception of reality. The Palestine Authority has driven the autonomous regions to rack and ruin. Forty percent unemployment; galloping inflation; disintegrating economy; crumbling infrastructure. Wow! I could be describing Iran, too! The trouble with you -- and your little terrorist chums in Iran-sponsored Hizbollah and Hamas -- are that you are all governed by a mentality which prefers history to be what they THINK should have happened as opposed to what DID happen. Iran is disintegrating from within. New sanctions will apply the coup de grace. Hizbollah struts and crows like a bantam rooster, but the fact of the matter is that its weapons stores have been seriously depleted and Iran's attempts to re-supply Hizbollah have been thwarted on six occasions. Hamas cannot even control their own splintered membership. And Israel sits and watches while her enemies crumble from within. Pass the popcorn!

Yes. Lots of bright shiny new centrifuges to join the already non-operable ones. Centrifuges require high-tensile titanium steel screws to operate. Iran cannot acquire high-tensile titanium steel to make the screws because the European Union and the United States have made it very clear to China what will happen to China's trade balance if it sells any to Iran. China did the math -- a simple formula, really -- "would I rather trade with the United States and the European Union, or would I rather trade with Iran." That's not even math. That's arithmetic. Iran's leadership is running scared, as well they should. Hence all the chest-beating and crowing. Those that can, do, without fanfare. Iran is all about the fanfare, not much about the "do." Stay tuned; Iran's unraveling, fast.

"Fanciful words and 'logic' coined by herself." Now, now, Mahmood. You know perfectly well that I scrupulously document facts and cite to highly reputable sources. It's second nature to lawyers. You, on the other hand, pull "facts" from heaven knows where, and cite to nothing. Not exactly good scholarship, you know? That said -- are you serious? Ten sites yet to be built? When, overnight? Do you really think the West will wait that long? It won't. You will surely have noticed a toughening of the international stance on Iran's nuclear program, even from nations previously silent on the issue. The sanctions already in place have brought Iran to the brink. Toughening them -- and it won't take much -- will put Iran over the edge. There is also the matter of the growing internal dissent in Iran. It won't take much to bring Iran to its knees. Who will come charging in to Iran's rescue? Venezuela? Not really; they're too busy worrying about a growing threat from Colombia and all those U.S. military bases arrayed along the border with Venezuela. North Korea? Even less likely -- they're deep in the throes of a famine that is worse than the one which claimed four million lives in the mid-1990s. Face it -- Iran is being strangled. A most appropriate fate for a country with a predilection for hanging people from jib cranes. There's a poetic justice in that, don't you think?

To: 50 "Face it -- Iran is being strangled". If that's what you believe then why are you such an enthusiastic proponent of attacking Iran militarily? Are you a distant cousin of Ahmadinejad?

Iran now will build 10 new uranium enrichment plants. It may as well be a hundred. The real point is that Iran has turned down the P-5+1, they have all admonished Iran, and Iran has told them to go stick it. So now we get down to it. The International Atomic Energy Agency has said that they are at a dead end but that sanctions are a bad idea. Russia and China are not committed to anything. The next step is up to the P-5+1 and ultimately to two countries: Russia, which can make sanctions meaningful, and the United States, which has the significant military options and the ability to continue the battle even if the first strikes fail. The United States does nothing until Russia shows its hand, and maybe does nothing afterward either. But Obama has backed himself into a corner. If the Iranians really don’t budge, he has made it clear that he will act. It may be that he never expected it to come to this, but it is closing in fast. If Obama doesn’t act, Iran wins domestically and in the region. If he does act, he faces a third war. Sigh. Looks like Israel will have to clean up the world's mess -- yet again. Iraq ... Syria ... tiny little Israel is all that has kept the world from nuclear winter. A little gratitude is in order .... actually, a lot of gratitude is in order, but let's not nitpick. We'll fix the problem. We always do.

Cannot counter with facts, so you result to personal attacks. Typical of you, Mahmood, sad to say. But I do believe the majority of us have come to expect churlish and childish responses from you when you really have nothing factual to say. That would be pretty much all of the time.
