1. Where are we going
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (12.02.09)
Bet Aryeh is a secular community, mortar range from Ben Gurion airport, but this is not important. The question is what happened to democracy. In order to shake-off Goldstone's war crime indictment, Ehud Barak is arresting Jewish political leaders using his black-garbed YSM stormtroopers. This is not good.
2. WHAT KIND OF ISRAELI GOVERNMENT IS THIS ???.
Arn-Orao. ,   Sweden-Srbia.   (12.02.09)
THERE IS A WELL KNOWN DOCUMENT, POINTING OUT THE LAND WHICH BELONGS TO ISRAEL. THE BIBLE !!!. AND THERE IS WELL KNOWN TOMBS OF THOSE ISRAELIS. SHOULD THIS LAND BE GIVEN TO THE ARABS ???. Arn-Orao.
3. What is the meaning of being a settler?
Ron B. ,   Lod   (12.02.09)
Faith, moral clarity, long-term vision, defiance of odds (the few against the many), willingness to sacrifice short-term convenience on the altar of long term national security, and awareness that nations who do not adhere to their roots, and are not willing to make a sacrifice for Liberty, forsake their future and do not deserve Liberty. NO FREE LUNCH FOR SOVEREIGN PEOPLES, especially in violent and unpredictable neighborhoods. As to the legitimacy and the rights of the settlers : http://xrl.us/bj5ng
4. YNET please do this :-)
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (12.02.09)
As we move into the third year since the Disengagement from Gush Katif, which saw the destruction of a community and the division of a nation, the effects of this policy are as present as ever. The majority of the people that were expelled from their homes are still living in temporary accomodation and many are yet to receive the funds that the government originally promised them. The expulsion has had ongoing social, economic, environmental, and emotional effects upon all those involved, and there are many more untold ramifications. Additionally, Israel has been greatly affected in a military sense, as seen from the increased Kassam rocket bombardments upon southern cities, particularly in Sderot and, recently, Ashkelon. The tragedy that continues to play out in all these areas is wide ranging and heartbreaking, yet not that much has been documented for the English community. Please compile a reference of factual accounts and memories written by those at the forefront of the disengagement – the key players in the movement surrounding the expulsion from Gush Katif. Where are the journalists, authors, political analysts, and religious figures, as well as most importantly, those directly affected, the people who lived in Gush Katif and were forced from their homes during that fateful summer of 2005. Why no body write on the background, history, personal accounts section, and a description of the aftermath of the Disengagement. I am hoping that this collated as a resource tool for people trying to obtain comprehensive information, as well as opening the eyes of many to the personal ramifications of the Disengagement and the effects it had. I want some discussion and informative resource for people wanting to obtain information, understand the situation more and to share their feelings on what happened, both in terms of the actual situation and its aftereffects. Ynet please report on these points. Thanks BEN SINGAPORE
5. #2 Anna the bible is a not a legal document
Avi ,   Israel   (12.02.09)
hate to break it to you but the bible is not a legal document. Religion is a faith a belief not fact. So therefor should America send in the storm troopers and take Jerusalem as christians belive that Jerusalem is the heart of Christianity? In addition Israel is a democratic state with a system of law not a religious state run according to Jewish law. You can not impose religious beliefs on non belivers.Neither is it legal.
6. Hey, Bibi, do you hear this?
m   (12.02.09)
Jews are going to kill Jews in the end and it will be the end. This is why the Second Temple fell, learn from history. Sending thugs dressed in black to beat Jewish citizens bring bad memories back.
7. Settlers are far from being Morals
Marco ,   USA   (12.02.09)
#5 let me commend you on your intellect. as for the settlers, wake up, this is not the wild west... the land belongs to people.. not you. taking it by force is far from being moral and human.
8. Barak should be ashamed,he's disgusting
James Brody ,   L.A. US   (12.02.09)
Barak is/was always a wanker.
9. Great like we don't have enough enemies so now
James Brody ,   L.A. US   (12.02.09)
we are fighting among ourselves. We treat foreigners who riot in Jerusalem and Beilen with kid gloves. And beat up Jews instead.Sick.
10. Acted like animals?
Talula ,   Israel   (12.02.09)
That's funny coming from them. That's REALLY funny!!!! Hamas shooting doctors at point-blank range in the head while they were trying to save lives and men being tossed off high buildings are still fresh in my mind - AND they were all Arabs. Or, is that allowed? Is it just an Israeli soldier who isn't allowed protect his country?
11. Talula, have you ever been to Beit Arye??
Esther ,   Ofarim   (12.02.09)
You don't know these people. I do. Beit Arye is a community that was built over 25 years ago on an empty hill-top, go provide housing for IAI workers. This is not an illegal outpost. This is a legitimate settlement, sanctioned by the Israeli government, slated to be annexed to Israel. The residents are hard-working, tax-paying Israeli citizens. Avi Naim is a good mayor and administrator, and NOT a fanatical trouble-maker. Get information before you besmirch the reputation of others. Shame on Bibi and Barak.
12. Bibi is slicing Israel like salami
eddie ,   london UK   (12.02.09)
what he once accused arafat of doing, he is now perpetrating himself.
13. GAZA WAS NOT ENOUGH? BIBI END THIS STUPID LAW!
stude ham   (12.02.09)
14. Bibi & Barak are you planning on become another Sharon veg.?
(12.02.09)
15. Boohoo! Poor settlers.
Katherine ,   Australia   (12.02.09)
If they build their settlements inside of Israel's proper borders, then they wouldn't be having these problems. Instead, they follow their extremist beliefs that they need to ethnically cleanse the West Bank of Arabs in the name of Judaism.
16. Now these settlers know what its like
Adam ,   Canada   (12.02.09)
Now these settlers know what its like to be an Arab living in E Jerusalem--evicted from their homes and barred from receiving any construction permits. Luckily for these illegal settlers, this will only be for 10 months.
17. Katherine - Australia
Esther ,   Ofarim   (12.02.09)
And what do you care about Israel? What's it to you, except a topic to spout venom against? Go fix the problems in your own country. Your comments are worthless.
18. insane israel leadership
