They live in another world, in another country, believe in another faith, none of which bears any resemblance to us. To continue seeing them as "Hem Shelanu" - they are like us or they're ours - is to give them our legitimacy which they abuse and distort. Tel aviv and Haifa were just settlement which were built before 67. After the west bank , they will as for the Galillee. And peopel like Beillin and Mofaz will peddle the idea that Galil is a virtual arab enclave anyway,so just give it up for peace. Then the Israelis inthe Galil will be the new enemeies of peace, like the settlers of today. Also, Israelis have very short term memory. Gaza was a proof of and a scientific sample of Palestinian statehood. A westbank state will be a hamas state within 3 days of independence. In fact, the IDf themselves have said there will be a takeover there if they pull out, even without a statehood. The security fence cannot protect against missiles. And the final sting: Israel's so called right to self defence. the gaza war and the Goldstoen report show that the world will not accept Israel defending itself against a west bank state. Amoz Oz used to say it is easier to break the back of a young palestinian army than of a tenager. Gaza proved him wrong. For those Israelis who stil think they are strong, think again.
