Turkey remains an important player in the international arena only as long as there remains tension between the West and the Islamic World. President Obama wil understand this in another year or two.

Last month Erdogan signed a deal with Iran If Irans nuclear sites were attacked by Israel then Turkey would commit airforce support to help Iran. They are going to share inteligence ( on Israel ) Turkey will let Iran build early warning stations in their territory to detect for any Israeli strike force before they reach Iran. Turkey also for the first time held war games with Syria and at the same time they refused to hold them with Israel. Turkey should not be trusted with Iran Turkey should not be trusted with Syria Turkey should not be trusted with Israeli modern weapons which may end up falling into the hands of their new allies Syria and Iran. The muslims are sticking together and the only nuclear issues Turkey will help Obama on is how to disarm Israel.

It was a lost decade not to improve relations with Iran, USA and Israel has nothing to give Turkey other than trouble Look, Israeli prime Minister cannot go to Europe for a convention because ISRAEL CANNOT AFFOR HIS HOTEL INVOICEs what Turkey can expect such a broke nation? But from my side it is sad to see that USA is betting on Erdogan and AKP whose real objective is not democracy but to use democracy as a vehicle to reach their destination and get off once reached it. Diplomacy will not work with Iran. Obama will sit on his hands and wait for something to happen. You like the condascending attitude of R.T Erdogan. You get what you deserve. The school teachers, the training oficers training the drafted soldiers and officers(yedek Subay in my time), the managers at government offices doctors and nurses at state hospitals in Turkey all have this same condascending attitude while the citizen expecting for service are made to wait long time, told to go home todday and come back tomorrow (That reminds me of Aziz Nesin) and nothing is done.
