1. kinda stupid to file law suit against org
ghostq   (12.08.09)
that suppose to help others, now people won't make any groups for any reason, cause they won't have buisnness status. oh great it takes one gay kid to ruin his own comunnity and also to disable people or people who needs to have support groups like AA or others.
2. Two families lost their children - who'll NEVER speak again
Israel   (12.08.09)
Don't see them suing the center. Sounds like a greedy little bastard to me and he's using it to cash in.
3. the kid
Stranger ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.09)
I saw "Uvda" with the kid - he looks nice and very positive. I am sure this lawsuit is from his parents, who are probably very angry at this organization, despite that they helped their kid.
4. the kid
Stranger ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.09)
This is definitely not the kid, but probably his parents. I was watching a TV program about him yesterday and they were talking about lawsuit against National Insurance Service to get these kids help as any other terror attack victim. So, I was very surprised to hear about lawsuit against BarNoar
5. Attorney Eitan Peleg you are wrong
Avi ,   Israel   (12.08.09)
What Attorney Eitan Peleg fails to understand that is a lot of young people come to the center for help and advice and are afraid to come out to their families and in some cases have been rejected and ex-communicated by their families because of their sexual orientation. How sad that he attempts to sue those who volunteered their time to help others for the sake of helping others and not financial gain as is his motive in such a law suit.We must not forget that two fine young people were murdered in cold blood because of their sexual orientation. Obviously Attorney Eitan Peleg has no idea what so ever of what it is to be gay and instead seems more concerned with how much his fee will be.
6. to #3 my collage profesor was nice too
ghostq   (12.08.09)
it didn't prevent him for giving everybody D's or F's, nice don't come to mind when it come to money, or law suit.
7. to #6
Stranger ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.09)
Well, I still don't believe it's a decision of 14 yo kid ...
8. to #14 does it matter, the outcome
ghostq   (12.08.09)
is disasterous not just for the Gay community only it can include others minorities. this can make really bad legal precedent and can make that kid outcast with his own community. of course because he is a minor he can't sue without his parents consent but the matter of his or not idea don't really cut it in court. we will never know cause in the past kids initiate those kind of things but the finall responsibility lay on his parents. and I think his parents r also guilty for greed.
9. Israel should take care of all those injured in this case...
(12.08.09)
Mr. Netanyahu promised to recognize the injured from this incident as survivors of an act of terrorism. Mr. Netanyahu is on record he should keep his promise.
10. The lawyer is an ambulance chasing parasite
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (12.08.09)
and clearly the parents are struggling with the fact that their injured son is gay. However, we shouldn't blame the victims. We can blame the scumbag parasite lawyer.
11. not greedy?
ben Ish   (12.08.09)
I thought the SHOOTER was the responsible person. Silly me. I keep forgetting who is responsible is never the actual perpetrator, it is only whoever has any money to sue for. My bad. Perhaps the killers will sue also, if they are a little short on cash.
12. What not hold the gay stay facility responsible? If you want
Ari ,   Netanya,Israel   (12.08.09)
to erect an establishment that will house people ,you sure as hell need to provide some form of protection and security for them right? I find it rather humorous that the very ones who want equal rights for their lifestyle are the first to cry foul when slapped with a law suit that comes along with the package of 'equal rights'. Hey, if you can't hang with the big dogs, then perhaps the gays should stay on the porch as the say in America. I'm sorry this kid got injured, and 2 others lost their life, but did you really expect to create a kum-bay-ya atmosphere where all gays are safe, secure, and free from harm without looking into the legal aspect of it? Tut,tut, tut. Equal rights, equal legal settlements. Welcome to the real world.
13. if you think about it
blackman ,   Amsterdam   (12.08.09)
I am sure the center wanted the best for all gay kids but if we really think about it...underage kids are going into a center for advise and what not in a regular basis without their parents knowing. If something goes wrong in there you know you are gonna get in trouble with the law! The government should shot down all under 18 gay centers unless their parents are aware of it..
14. sued of Gay Center
Shimeon ,   Arizona, USA   (12.27.09)
Adding Camera's and other security would not have changed the homophobic attitude of the shooter nor in all likelyhood stopped the shooting from happening - yes, insurance should help defray the cost and the city has it's responsibility too, but how is the demands of Buks and the idea of "closing the doors" helpful to the continued fight of these prejudicies.
