Israel is the second most important high tech center of the world after California's Silicon Valley and has the highest concentration of scientists in the world. Sweden does not. Sweden is dependent on trade just like Israel, the difference being that Sweden needs Israel more than Israel needs Sweden. Much of the military material, equipment, computers that Swedes have come from Israel. Solution: prohibit Israelis from exporting weapons to Sweden and sell more weapons to say South Korea, Japan or Mexico instead to cover for the loss of customers. Absolutely right. Diplomacy today is not the 18th or 19th century diplomacy. Efficient diplomacy means to be straight forward, relatively crude with your opposite party. We need to adopt a strong and agressive negotiation position and we have to put the stakes high: 1. if the Swedish "Jerusalem resolution" is adopted even slightly amended (as it was), we should declare that it is the END of all direct negotiation because nothing substantial is left to negotiate. Fenenbock is calling for the thwarting of elections in a sovereign country because he has a petty grudge against “Reinfeldt, his political party and his 'pompous, anti-Israel' Foreign Minister Carl Bildt”. In short he wants to "hammer the Swedes" because they (and the rest of the world) do not recognize Israel’s illegitimate claim to E Jerusalem. Fenenbock for his part is resorting to this hilariously desperate measure because he *cannot* prove or provide any legitimate claim Israel has to E Jerusalem. Can I suggest that Fenenbock call this initiative “Operation Swedish Price Tag”?
