There may be some rabbis here and there who will say some calming words, but my impression is that most Hesder yeshivas and Hesder students know that the army is the army and you take orders. Most of us residents of Judea (I can't speak for the folks north of Jerusalem) are firmly behind the army and do not support insubordination in the ranks. Sure, we support legal protest by civilians, but the army is not the place for it. There are many senior active and reserve officers in Judea, and none of them that I have spoken to support protests like the ones we've seen my soldiers in uniform. It's against army rules and those who do it pay for their "right" to protest with jail terms, demotions, and no advancement in the ranks. So it should be.

The root problem is that the government,years ago, began useing the IDF soldiers to enforce a political agenda. Prior to the "Disengagement" the army was assigned to defending the country from enemies.
