1. Of course there is selective application of the law.
vered ,   israel   (12.17.09)
Elected presidents and leaders of countries are not treated the same as terrorists. This is chuzpah. A country that is not really a country yet dictating national and international policy. A country who could have been a country long ago if they wanted to. 1984. Doublespeak. Do they think any statement they make in a tone of anger, no matter how ridiculous, is justified?
2. Seeing is believing
DT ,   TA Israel   (12.17.09)
If that was true why has it not already been done as it was promised a number of years ago. It is also unlikely to get through an Islmaically sympathetic Parliament plus Brown needs the Islamic vote.
3. finally- some sense from Brown
nadav ,   israel   (12.17.09)
How can aMagistrates Court issue a warrant before a Prosecutor has even seen the case?!! Its absurd and a political tool by Jihadist and the extreme left to stifle debate in political issues. Aside from this, Britain has NO jurisdiction to arrest without warranted evidence citizens from other countries, let alone diplomats and politically elected officials in democratic countries! This is a neo colonial version of European extraterritoriality!! Who are they to judge other countries? Can Russia, China, INdia, and Israel arrest visiting British politicians and diplomats for alleged British "war crimes" in Iraq and Afghanistan?!? After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander!
4. that's cause palis and they supporters
ghostq   (12.17.09)
don't use their heads, and after that they cry about it, they got long way to learn on democracy and not exploit it in the most perverse way to their selfish needs, that's y in Europ people start to fed up with them, no respect for democracy.
5. Blair
Alred the Great ,   wales   (12.17.09)
you could probably get Blair for all the collateral deaths he caused in iraq due to his wmd deception, i think sometimes he is in israel, that would be hilarious.
6. Expose the people behind this
(12.17.09)
7. vered - WHAT!?
(12.17.09)
8. This is as a result of wight years of war crimes
Lioness ,   Israel   (12.17.09)
The Palestinians committed eight years of war crimes against Israeli civilians which forced Israel to lauch a war against the terrorists.
9. Nothing Will Change
Mickey ,   Teaneck, USA   (12.17.09)
The UK will not change the law. If they want to play a game of taking hostages, than so be it. I'm sure Israel has a long list of Britons to throw into some rat infested prison.
10. War crimes, ha
Mark ,   Maale Adummim   (12.17.09)
War crimes, ha, the United Kingdom new about the death camps in Poland and Germany and yet did nothing and 6 million Jews died an early death, women, men and children and on top of this figure were other religions and homosexuals. You can't arrest a person for protecting their country from terrorists and evil people who want to destroy a people, the Jews who want to live in peace in their own country. Hamas and Islam are the ones who should be convicted for war crimes putting children as human shields in places where they new would be attacked by Israel when waves of missiles fell on their (Israel) soil. Its time the world stood up against the Islam threat before they take over the world, the governments, they are already in the white house. Do they complain when homosexuals are hung, or Jews are blown up on busses or Shopping malls. I don't hear the world cry out about Gilad Shalit who was kidnapped 1117 days ago. Is it time that Israel do the same, would the world say Israel committed a war crime, but Israel, the Jewish people would not become animals like there neighbors. Have any of you the readers reading my letter from abroad visited our country. Well you should before you attack my letter, come and see how many Arabs sit in our cafes drinking coffee and socializing with their friends, or learning in our Universities getting an education like a Jewish person. How about visiting our hospitals and see how many Arabs are filling our beds getting the same treatment as any Israeli, receiving the same medical services. See how many are buying clothes and food in the Shopping malls. So before you want to convict us of war crimes, open your eyes up.

12. #8 This is the result of Israel's cowardliness & weakness
Shalom   (12.17.09)
run by spineless leaders that gives the US President, Hussein Obama, and the European country the boldness to command what Israel should or should not do in her own country. It's all Israel's fault as the Lubavitcher Rebbe said. Just talking about giving away territory of ANY part of its country is dangerous for its existence. Oh, how right he was! If Israel were to destroy its enemies like other countries instead of caving in to the demands of those that want to see Israel off the map, the nations would respect them and anti-Semitism would be subdued. As long as Israel is ruled by cowardly feckless weaklings, foreign countries have the power to dictate their policies.
13. #12 you are right about the Rebbe of
gal1 ,   israel/holon   (12.17.09)
blessed memory, but now that the damage is done we need to fix it , you can help by joining the honestreporting team and becoming an activist with the comfort of your computer. now is the time to use CHaBaD for the good. G-d bless Gilad.
14. the rule of law no longer obtains in the former UK
Ruri   (12.17.09)
it's a nation of men not laws. and the men in charge are radical fabian diversity enforcers - they have destroyed the country.
15. #1? i think i know what you mean! #10
gal1 ,   israel/holon   (12.17.09)
you are absolutely almost 100 % correct except the bit about comparing these monsters to animals. other than that yes i agree and G-d bless you. it's good to see israeli defending israel with such passion. G-d bless Gilad ben Aviva.
16. #12 Shalom
Marcelo ,   Frankfurt   (12.17.09)
I do absolutelly agree with you.
17. WHO IS THE JUDGE? CAN WE FIND OUT.
nero ,   nyc   (12.17.09)
18. Most of UK Judges are very leftwing,Nero
(12.17.09)
19. Mistake
Ussishkin ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (12.17.09)
The mistake is in the UK backing down and allowing this Israeli government a diplomatic advantage. It's a mistake because it gets this and the previous Olmert government off the hook of accountability. Its a mistake because it allows Livni's words denying the Gaza humanitarian crisis for which she and her government had a major responsibility to go unchecked -together with her insistence that the IDF destroy Hamas which would only exacerbate the crisis she denied existed and in a context in which the IDF could not and did not destroy Hamas but hundreds of innocent lives instead.
20. World-class pro-Palestinian attorney, sorry, propagandist
Eh-oop ,   England   (12.17.09)
Here's one attorney saying "in the light of the Goldstone report there is a prima facie case to answer". But hasn't Judge Goldstone already said that the conclusions in his report would not stand up in a court of law? I think this guy stands a real chance of walking away with Lawyers against Justice's 2009 Creative Harassment award.
21. disaccredit the BBC
Frank ,   London   (12.17.09)
actually, this is a fantastic opening. In international law, issue of arrest warrants for goverment officials of a foreign country is a hostile act. Mme Livni is not member of government in narrow sense, but she's in the broader sense as the head of parliamentary opposition. So Britain committing a hostile act opens up lots of opportunities. The one that would hurt most would be to remove the accreditation for all British newsagencies in Israel (BBC, Reuters etc), as well as journalists holding a British passport. And since it was a hostile act against the country, one could block BBC and such even from entering Gaza, Yehuda and Shomron. It wouldn't hurt news flow to the UK (there are lots of other, non-UK journalists from other news agencies), and it wouldn't hurt Israeli news on UK, in case Britain decided to retaliate. But it would severly hamper the British propaganda machine.
22. Okay, #7, funny wording.
vered ,   israel   (12.17.09)
Israel did leave Gaza. It is Gaza who bombed Sederot for 8 years. It is Gaza who kidnapped Gilad Shalit and doesn't even follow the Geneva Convention allowing visits by the Red Cross. They and their supporters don't get to determine the proportion of counter attacks by Israel. They don't get to be indignant and self-righteous about anything. If Britain lets them, Britain is a very, very bad country.
23. Your very own prison
Jake ,   London   (12.17.09)
Served in the IDF? Been to Gaza? These are questions all israeli's will face travelling anywhere internationally and many will face arrest for the war crimes and crimes against humanity that israel commits daily. So just like Gaza, israel will become it's own prison that you can't leave for fear of arrest. And that's what you deserve, to be treated like the terrorists that you are. The lawyers & 90% of the British people support the law and want to see war criminals like Tzipi Livni charged for their heinous crimes. You are a nation of baby & women killers but maybe not a nation for much longer. The clock ticks towards your guaranteed destruction. VIVA PALESTINE!!!
24. @Jake
Frank ,   London   (12.17.09)
Well, the first thing to turn off the juice for people like Jake would be to disaccredit the BBC, Reuters and all journalists holding the UK passports One can then wait and see, how the other journalists do. But Spain and Sweden should be the next on the list...
25. Actually...
Timberwolf ,   Bristol, UK   (01.19.10)
Probably 90% of British people don't even know where Israel is and don't even take any notice of the press campaign against you. VIVA ISRAEL!!!
26. Why isn't the British Ambassador humuliated also?
Ibrahim ,   Ankara, Turkey   (01.19.10)
