At least make a cursory attempt to read up on the issue before commenting. The case is most likely just the first of many to get re-tried for this particular supposed serial killer. It is most likely a matter of a disturbed man claiming to have committed murder, and a willing and overworked prosecutor listening to his lies. It has nothing - absolutely nothing - to do with Israel. Thinking that it does is simply deluding yourself into seeing hate and antagonism where there is none.

Those resources could be put to better use prosecuting the violent demonstrators against Israeli events in Sweden.

We know that Israel's legal system is crap - but Sweden's is not! A man was interrogated about the murder but he was expelled from Sweden (after he's sentence for assault was finished)... so it will be hard for Sweden to get him back!

You have gotten it completely wrong. This man is a convicted serial killer - including for the killing of this innocent hiking Israeli. However, in recent years it has come to light that there is a good chance that he was lying when he admitted to all those different murders, and that his testimonies don't really align with tangible evidence. As such, the Swedish prosecutors are re-visiting EVERY SINGLE ONE of his cases, to see if something went wrong and if he should be re-tried. If he is innocent, that means the real murderer is still out there.
