So much for "We won't seek revenge, we're Jews". Early reports state that the 3 youths killed in Gaza were unarmed civilians and were probably scavenging for construction materials near the Gaza border. There is no indication that these youths posed any risk to the IDF or Israel when they were killed nor has there been a statement from any Palestinian militant group saying that they were members. Regarding the 3 Palestinians killed in Nablus, we only have the word of the IDF claiming that these Palestinians were involved in the recent death of the illegal settler in the WB. If these men were under suspicion of being involved in the attack they should have been arrested and put on trial in a court of law. Instead they were cornered and killed. 'Raz' (#14) summed it up the best: "You take one life, we take 10 ". Actually it was 'You take one Israeli life, we take 6". These killing were done in 'revenge' not 'justice'. It should also be noted that for the past two nights settlers, illegal settlement of Shavi Shamron, have been rampaging through the Palestinian village of Burin in 'revenge' for the death of the Israeli settler. I guess the IDF were to busy with other matters to stop these attacks. Extra-judicial killings based purely on ‘suspicion’ will never equal ‘justice’ and violate the norms and ethics of any modern democratic society.
