1.  Israel you can't negotiate with crazy people !!
rachel ,   usa   (12.26.09)
Just a bunch of psychos who don't want peace ....they all need to take some pills ....you can't trust these animals
2. watch the world blame israel
david cohen ,   China   (12.26.09)
these animals that we r supposed to trust and live with "peacefully" kill a jew. they are stupid enough to be caught and killed. and now israel is accused of escalating the terror! now u understand why israel should only do what is right for israel and only count on heaven for help.
3. Can Israel defeat al aksa,fatah ?
Marcel ,   Florida   (12.26.09)
Because of political cowardice the IDF failed to defeat Hizbollah and Hamas. This has strengthened Israel's enemies and weakened Israel. It is a stratgedy of war that Israel always falls prey to. Whenever the fake peace mediators in Washington pressured Israel into restraint for 'their sh*& peace the spineless Israeli politicians always capitulated. This tactic has emboldened Israel's enemies and weakened Israel. Is the IDF capable of defeating another arab arny before the false allies come to rescue them by calling for Israel to stop beforte the job is done ??
4. :: Cycle of violence
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (12.26.09)
Clearly it is Israel that has escalating the cycle of violence by needlessly killing 3 Palestinian civilians in Gaza. These youths were either collecting scrap metal etc or were trying to get into Israel to find work. There is *no* indication or evidence that they were affiliated with any militant group or were carrying arms/explosives. These 3 youths were killed on a ‘suspicion’ and no IDF members will be held accountable for their murder. As Israel saw fit to ‘take revenge’ for the murder of the illegal settler so too will the Palestinians take revenge for the killing of the 3 civilian youths. Thus the cycle of violence will continue because Israel used undue indiscriminate force.
5. Empty rhetoric
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.26.09)
"The occupation (Israel) is opening the gates to hell," said Abu Mahmoud, a senior al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades commander. Jews do not believe in hell. "Fatah's armed wind vowed to respond 'in the language of blood and fire.'" Get a new scriptwriter. All this bloodthirsty hyperbole is getting kind of old. "Nabil Abu Rdainah said, 'This grave Israeli escalation shows Israel is not interested in peace and is trying to explode the situation.'" "Explode" the situation? No, that would be what terrorists do. As to Israel -- sure. Why not? You got caught with your pants down and your thumb up your ... oh, never mind. Of course Israel will exploit the situation. Embarrassing for you lot, wasn't it? I feel your pain. Want some more?
6. To: David at No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.26.09)
The international community will always fault Israel. The only thing that would make them happy would be for Israel to cease to exist. In some ways, that is a good thing, because Israel doesn't have to worry about political fallout. The international community does not have to worry about existential matters. Israel does. That gives Israel a remarkable range, and explains how Israel was able to (i) kidnap Eichmann (may his name be cursed throughout eternity; (ii) rescue hostages in Entebbe; (iii) destroy the Osirac reactor; (iv) take out the top PLO leadership in Beirut; (v) destroy the budding Syrian nuclear reactor et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Not to mention the successful interdiction of all those arms shipments sent by Iran and intended for their terrorist proxies. Rather remarkable that Israel showed such restraint in Lebanon in 2006 and in Gaza earlier this year. There is plenty of international precedent for operations that do not care about collateral damage (witness the massive bombing raids over Kosovo, which killed tens of thousands of civilians; the bombing of Afghanistan, which killed ten thousand or more civilians; and the inept operation to inderdict the Taliban in Warziristan -- figure twenty thousand civilians dead, on this one. Israel can handle herself. We've always had to, right? Israel's military is ranked tenth in the world. With a standing army just slightly over 100,000 individuals. The nine countries before Israel on the list all have standing armies of one million or more. We'll be just fine. As you point out -- we do have Ha'shem on our side.
7. "cause and effect" in arabic
tom ,   toronto, canada   (12.26.09)
does not exist.
8. Lock gates of hell behind Fatah and Hamas
(12.26.09)
9. Why not bomb the funeral?
jason white ,   afula,israel   (12.26.09)
Kill the terrorists and their supporters. All I.D.F. veterans should be armed and if needed allowed by the government to enter the liberated territories and destroy all the terrorists and their families there. Let them go through the gates of hell. Time to target assassinate all the pali leadership and stop having the U.S. train and arm terrorists under the terror trainer dayton.
10. Can the Israelis accept a “Palestinian state” ?
Ron B. ,   Lod   (12.26.09)
70% of Moslems in the Palestinian Authority believe that suicide terrorist bombings against civilians can be often or sometimes justified. The sinister prospect of danger to millions of Jews will immediately spring into being if the plans to establish a ‘Palestinian state’ in Judea and Samaria are pursued. No one can reasonably expect the Israelis to accept a state on their border which would become a launching pad for terrorist activities and be a second terrorist base to Gaza as described at : http://xrl.us/bmdnh
11. our very peaceful peace partners
Jerry   (12.26.09)
were killing unarmed civilians in yesha
12. Israel's behaviour
Resistor   (12.26.09)
Because of what you believe, what you do and how you do it, and what you say, Israel and jews will never have peace, with anyone, anywhere. This you already know, very well.
13. "Israel opening gates of hell"? Why is gate in Gaza open now
Doron Katz ,   Sydney, Australia   (12.26.09)
14. Al-Aqsa Brigades: Israel opening gates of hell
Matthew Sailhardy ,   Dorchester, USA   (12.26.09)
Ah, the crybaby warriors of Hamas and al-Aqsa Brigades cry foul when anyone fires back. Israelis have no right to defend themselves. How dare they! The truth is that these crybaby warriors do well only against unarmed civilians.
15. check the facts
Larry ,   Crossville USA   (12.26.09)
Fatah's Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades have claimed responsibility for the attack, the Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported. this on the killing the other day of an Israel man. Also that the IDF called on the people to surrender, and they refused.
16. And the United States is training the Fatah murderers!
Cynic ,   USA   (12.26.09)
17. nowhere in the world

19. At least they admit
Ilana   (12.26.09)
that they are devils in hell!
20. Pathetic attempt by Matty Groves to justify murder
Brian Cohen ,   Judean People's Frnt   (12.26.09)
Matty Groves justifies the murder of an Israeli civilian by Palestinians by calling the civilian an "illegal settler." Groves is of course not just wrong, but possibly aiding and abetting war crimes. International law, Goldstone, Amnesty and Human Rights Watch all state clearly that you cannot kill a civilian because you think he is not allowed to be wear you killed him. The Palestinians try to justify their murder of civilians by calling it "resistance to the occupation." It is not legitimate. It is a war crime. Matty Groves should either retract his endorsement of Palestinian war crimes, or understand that he too could be charged with supporting war crimes (and his IP address traced to find his true name). And while I'm here, the Pals should simply give up their hot air rebuttals about "Israeli escalation" and understand that they cannot kill our civilians with impunity. If they want peace, they'll get peace. If they want war, they will die much more than we will.
21. al-aksa brigades
debbie ,   israel   (12.26.09)
MATTY GROVES You are a joke, I love the way you refer to the three Palestinians as "youths looking for scrap metal". LOL LOL Since when are three men, aged 40, 40 and 36 considered youths? Your anti-Semitic anti-Jewish anti-Israel ravings are already well known on these sites. You will never have a good word to say, about absolutely anything connected with Israel. Get a life, MATTY GROVES OF FAIRPORT. You're such a joke. And the illegal settler you referred to was an innocent father of seven children, minding his own business and was murdered in cold blood. It is only your opinion that he is "illegal."
22. Fatah's armed wing threatens swift retaliation

23. big oportunity¡¡ come on IDF¡
Felipe ,   Madrid Sefarad   (12.26.09)
Thousands of terrorists together....ummmm¡¡¡¡ a big oportunity to clean Israel. God bless IDF¡
24. :: Brian Cohen - #20
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (12.26.09)
Firstly Brian Cohen should decide whether he is with the JPF or the PFJ. Secondly I clearly called the death of the illegal settler (yes was an illegal settler on Palestinian land) ‘murder’. Show me where I clearly ‘justified’ this murder. Thirdly, unlike the vast majority of pro-Israeli posters here I fully acknowledge that BOTH the Israelis and Palestinians have committed war crimes. Fourthly I ask this very simple question to Brian Cohen: If Jews or Israelis were penned in and oppressed (think Warsaw Ghetto) by a vastly superior force would these Jews/Israelis form a "resistance" to this oppression? Would they take up arms and fight back by any means at their disposal?
25. thanks Israel for bringing new young blood to Resistance

26. #16 - Cynic, You know not how correct u r
AY_Lamb ,   Globestan   (12.26.09)
Plus, there is 24hr non-stop critical and thorough collection, analysis and dissemination of Israeli movements, actions, composition and disposition. Now the peace-minded moderate person might say oh well who cares a competent military would observe the actions of others, right! Yes, I agree with that moderate premise. However, since the inculcation and application of "bush doctrine" I've noticed an alarming spike the verbiage, sentiment, tinge of loaded and laced anti-Semitic language so pervasive in the analytic reports/products. The conservative establishment of the defense department feels frustrated and stymied by the Obama executive branch and their outward resistance to Bush doctrine. This frustrating situation is eroding their patience and they are just waiting for Israel to unambiguously act in what can be interpreted as a breach of acceptable American/international norms and then they are going to push the executive branch into a corner, and then they will "pounce". Years ago at the apex of the Bush administration a greater middle-east expansion and occupation of "problem countries and areas" was war gamed and analyzed and Israel topped the list of middle-eastern problem areas. Sorry if this chafes anyone, it is simply fact
27. media cover up
Marcel ,   Florida   (12.26.09)
As usual there is no reporting by the Israeli media that the US trained Palestinia security forces intentionally covered up the whereabouts of thse murderers. They set up a decoy operation in Tulkarm to fool Israel into believing they were really looking for the killers as they were REQUIRED TO DO by the phony peace agreement . Why does Israel keep playing this rigged game ?
28. You have to love terrorist logic
zionist forever   (12.26.09)
We hit you first by killing a civilian but your opening the gates of hell by retaliating and killing the terror. Even islam allows for the killing of a murderer, but jews are not allowed to do what muslims are.
29. For whom?
Sidney ,   USA   (12.26.09)
"Israel opening gates of hell". How many remember that before their infitadas, Israel Arabs had the highest standard of living in the Arab world? And just how did you distinguish life in Gaza today, under Hamas, from hell? As for their goal of an Islamist state, do they ever look at Iran, which is Stalinsm with an Persian accent? Or do they prefer that other Islamic paradise, Saudi Arabia, where the country takes its name from one family who keep all the wealth for themselves?
30. To: Brian at No. 20
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.26.09)
You make an excellent point. I am sure that there is a whole separate section at the NSA which does nothing but run down the IP addresses and do background checks on any supporter of terrorist organizations (it is, after all, against United States law to aid and abet a terrorist organization). I am equally sure that the NSA regularly monitors news blogs such as this one, because of the apparent topical connection. Those who do not support terrorism and terrorist organizations such as Hamas and HIzbullah have nothing to fear. Those that defend and support the actions of such criminal organizations ... well, that would be quite a different story, now wouldn't it? I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
