Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.26.09)
I suspect that Time magazine in the U.S. will name Barack Obama. I would much prefer they name a real heroine -- Ms. Soltan.
3. A political move but good to see common people honored
Bloodyscot ,   Dallas, Texas   (12.26.09)
Good to see that even the death of a common person who did little but was forced to make the sacrifice of her life for her beliefs
4. She is a hero, like the man who stood up to chinese tanks
dav zee ,   atlanta GA USA   (12.26.09)
A World heroine... she must NEVER BE FORGOTTEN FOR her BRAVERY against the harshest meanest nastiest killers in riot police costumes , the mullahs and the UNELECTED thug and ranter & so called "leader" amadinajerkoff and his killers of unarmed free willed poor civilians...women and kids! The iran-t THEOCRACY must be changed to a democratic society before The west and Israel makes a mud puddle out of it...and it's coming despite all the mullahs wiles and lies and deceit that is SO transparent...FREE IRANT! FREE IRANT! NOW
5. Don't be deluded people.
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (12.26.09)
The Western world including you people have made this woman into a martyr. But this is blind idolization and wishful thinking. The opponents and supporters of the revolution in Iran are split over internal matters such as human rights, freedom of speech, etc but hating Israel is the consensus, which is common for all sides. This woman is very easy to identify with and idolize, especially with such beauty... But I bet she and her fellow protesters, hated Israel with venom, and wish for the "liberation of Palestine from the Zionists". It just happens that the Iranian government is troubling them even more at this moment. But who is this Mousavi they root for? One of the founders of Hizbullah!
6. DEAR UK ! GAZA FULL WITH ITS OWN NEDAS ! AND YOU HAVE..
...CHANCE TO HELP ,   Atilla Karagözoğlu   (12.26.09)
since when volves helping sheeps ! *** NEDAS STORY ! AS MUCH AS I KNOW ! IT IS NOT AN ORDINARY ONE. I AM SURE HER END ALREADY GAVE A MESSAGE TO ALL WORLD. BUT UK'S REWARD DID BOTHER ME A LOT. how much UK ( and world ) is responsible from her end ?
7. I wonder if Bloody Thirsty will agree to name Mexicans who
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (12.26.09)
defended Texas from the invasion of the White Settlers as person of the year
8. iran's (the real iran's) NEDA.
les ,   canada   (12.27.09)
DESERVEDLY SO! although she did not fight with weapons, just having the curage to show her discontent with the dictatorial regime by being there makes her real martyr, not like the barbarians blowing up inocent people. i am sure the little apeman is getting the message.
9. #5...
Helder M. Vieira ,   Porto, Portugal   (12.27.09)
Neda remains a powerful symbol of an important struggle for freedom, even knowing that she was NOT a protester. On the other stuff, I'd just say that any civilized man or woman obviously dislikes zionism, which stands as the last symbol of the european colonial period.
10. A Very Brave Woman
Christy ,   Boston, US   (12.27.09)
11. To #9
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (12.27.09)
Thank you for clarifying your radical ideology. I could have ripped your erroneous perception into shreds, but it seems like a waste of time, I don't think your ilk ever care to listen to true history, instead you prefer to hide behind your Israel-hating agenda. In such case I believe we have no common language, and therefore cannot have a debate.
