Need I sa more!
2. Yes, and this was already clear...
eddie ,   london UK   (12.28.09)
During Bibi's first term in office. And Sharon and Bibi were no different politically - simply each politican will tell their own lies, and when they get into power will carry out instructions taken from the USA.
3. Yosaef promotes Israels' slide into totalitarian fascism...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (12.28.09)
...good luck with that. Do you remember what happened the last time the world was faced with a rogue country that did the same?
4. obvious
aryeh shore ,   rechovot israel   (12.28.09)
I would think it was obvious the minute livni refused to form a coalition with Netanyahu that a party consisting completely of political opportunists was doomed. As for political ideology for a party, one party in and one party out is plenty for a democracy. The important thing is that the government have enough votes to rule.
5. Deserting the party
Norman Gellman ,   Rehovot, Israel   (12.28.09)
A Knesset member who leaves his/her party should return the seat to that party Being allowed to stay in the government as either a 1 person faction or a member of another faction is in fact cheating the voters. They got their seats on a party list the seat should remain in possession of the party not the member, the next member on the party list should get the seat. It seems immoral or almost criminal to allow MKs to jump around.
6. The small bang
Bruria   (12.28.09)
I read the daily reports on our government and it sickens me. Jews are being murdered and our government is planning a large scale attack--on Jews! When is this country going to wake up and demand that this craziness stop? If we stand by and allow Bibi and Barak to carve up Israel, it will be to late to object!
7. Ideology Lives
Kevin ,   hod Hasharon Israel   (12.30.09)
Ideology still exists in the Likud. There are many who follow the precepts of Jabotinsky and the path of Begin BUT Feiglin DOES NOT! Feiglin is not a Likudnik but a user! He is using the Likud to form a theocratic totalitarianist state - Bad for the Jews, the country and the party! Many active Likud members believe in the principles of the movement but also understand the exigencies of geopolitics to allow the government some leeway. A coalition is never a place for pure ideology! Until a single party governs the state, political and ideological compromises are necessary.
