1. It was the Shin Bet or leftists
Proud Settler ,   Israel   (01.05.10)
I live in a very mainstream Gush Emunim community and have never heard talk like that in public or in private. It's definitely a provocateur looking to tarnish our communities.
2. arent we all brothers?
(01.05.10)
3. THOSE EVIL MURDEROUS SETTLERS
dirtyshirt ,   usa   (01.05.10)
If this was sent by a dangerous evil settler, who has the intricate murder murder details planned out, WHY WOULD HE SEND A LETTER TO ADVERTISE IT? The reality is, that any person in a position of power and influence receives dozens of these a week. The fact that these were published, is a testament to the unfavorable reception of the freeze by the Israeli public. It can also be an indication of what Bibi/Barak plan in the next stage. I predict that we will see a "sudden" upsurge in settler "violence", to soften the grounwork of public opinion for what the government has in store. This is just the most recent of a string of "incidents". 1) Yaakov Tietel (who will soon fade into oblivion, as did Avishai Raviv) 2) The mosque burning, and the consequent arrest of a KAHANE (oh did I forget that he was released?) 3) Death threat to the Samaria chief police. 4)Death threat to Barak Im sure I've overlooked some, but you get the general idea.
4. I WONDER IF BARAK IS HALF OF RABIN, TODAY !
Atilla Karagözoğlu   (01.05.10)
what if that is a fake threat also. just to make pr for barak., maybe one of his supporter did it without baraks permission.
5. HMMM -
Arn-Orao. ,   Sweden-Srbia.   (01.05.10)
The threats continued: "Beware. I will hurt you or your children or all which you hold dear." THIS TREATH IS NOT ACCEPTIBLE, TO HURT THE INNOCENT DMs RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. THE DM HAS CHALLENGED JEHOVAH WITH HIS POLICY, AND CAN THEREFORE EXPECT, ENIMOSITY FROM HIS FOLLOWERS, IN THE SAME WAY AS BY ISLAMISTS,, IF HE HAD CHALLANGED ALLAH. THE DM KNOWS THE RULE OF THE GAME, HE IS A WARRIOR, AND HAVE TO PAY THE COST BEEING THAT. BUT TO TREATHEN HIS INNOCENT BYSTANDERS, THIS IS NOT THE WILL OF JEHOVAH. Arn-Orao.
6. Leftist propaganda
Meir ,   Arad   (01.05.10)
This is just an extreme leftist provocation to discredit the Judea and Samaria population. If somebody wants to shoot, they shoot and don't talk. In any case, I will not shed a tear for this coward Barak.
7. Those that would do harm listsen up
Galut ,   Selah   (01.05.10)
God in his own timing will deal with israels leaders that fail to head his word.... remember David had several opertunities to kill King Saul but didn't .... David is your example.... your job is to be in prayer before the lord ...that doors will be opened so your leaders can do gods will...
8. :: Settlers show their true colors
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.05.10)
This is an example of the type of settler mentality that will be the undoing of Israel. Israel as a whole has fostered this illegal settler enterprise for decades and at the request of a temporary freeze (which is a total sham) they threaten violence and murder. It should come as no surprise to anyone that the settler that wrote this letter also threatened to hurt his children as the illegal settlers have made it a hobby/pastime to attack and assault Palestinian children on their way to and from school. I would also note that I have mentioned this fact (illegal settlers attacking innocent school children) on several occasions and nobody here has questioned this fact - probably because they know it is true and are too ashamed to discuss it.
9. "Rightist?" How does Ynet know?
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (01.05.10)
Of course Ynet considers Ariel Sharon and Netanyahu "rightists". So, if it is the destroyers of their own people in the land of their own name who are the "rightist", maybe Barak sent it to himself. Ynet forgot to mention it was written with the same shade of lipstick that Barak wears.
10. Peace Process ?
Marcel ,   Fl;orida   (01.05.10)
All of this does not sound like Israel is heading for peace but the exact opposite direction. On the borders with the more ready than ever enemy, Hamas and Hizbollah and on home front with fellow Jew who understand the insanity of the left's appeasement and surrender policies which have failed time and time again. Isn't it about time for the wise leaders to back up and rethink their devotion to a Road Map which is leading the country to hell and not peace ?
11. death threats
alexi   (01.05.10)
These have no place in israel society. You want to be strong, do martial arts, do your idf duty allof you including haredi(torah study is no excuse0 and then patrol your towns as part of judean force. Yoiu run and cry to the idf constantly. Defend your towns yourselves. I reject your threats. I cannot stand olmert but you don't issue a death threat. Likewise I am not a fan of barak at all but he does not deserve a death threat. That is part of arab society not israel society. If you continue with this threat, you will be hunted down.Ultimately you are gutless, totally gutless.
12. Barak wrote "Return to sender" with his lipstick
Kerwood Derby ,   Frostbite Falls, MN   (01.05.10)
on the envelope and it was returned to the Shin Bet. Was the Druse soldier ever returned who Barak put his kiss of death and allowed to be ripped apart in Joseph's Tomb by mad asses of men who should have their right of return enforced back to their homicidal, Hamite peninsular homeland of their own name so they won't be allowed to kill you while in your midst, being armed, trained and fed by US and IL.
13. #3 Dirty is correct
KACH 613 ,   Judah, Israel   (01.05.10)
Load of crap!!! Dirty #3 is correct every one in politics gets some kind of letters like this, it’s a crusade against us “settlers” this tactic will back fire just like it always dose. Everyone knows the disengagement was the worst thing for Israel. We have more support then we ever did in the public opinion, the PM and the DM are trying anything that they think will work, but it wont. Did I make my case and point??
14. "Matti Groves" hobby/pastime = lying
sharon ,   USA   (01.06.10)
This letter was not verified yet. It may unfortunately be "dirty politics". Who you call "settlers" are made up of brave families who desire to live in peace on their G-d given land, who DO NOT desire to"attack innocent children on their way to school". They have their own families to look after. But how would you know-your only hobby is lies and hate just like a palestinian terrorist.
15. You know Atilla you've got something there alright.
JUST ME   (01.06.10)
Barak is hungry for recognition and needs more power.A bit of PR does not come amiss, does it? Clever fellow eh atilla
16. C'mon Marcel you are not falling for it are you?
Jamea ,   Israel   (01.06.10)
This is nothing but a bit of a PR exercise for himself "Barak" the man. To justify what he is intending to do.But who is the PM?not Barak but Bibi. We have read it the other day on another forum.I say bull to it.
17. To @13 KACH 613 Judah,Israel Well>>>
ZIONIST JEW ,   T.A   (01.06.10)
Just a short one before I go. I am with you a 100% and although I live in the north,my thoughts are allways with you and wish you well. Having experienced the Gush Katif incident who would deem it credible that Barak got the said letter. A load of crap it is. The majority of good Israelis support you.Hey,in any case aren't we all supposed to be settlers, according to our enemies who surround us? give me strength! Am Yisrael Chai!
18. Hmm... should I send Moshe Feiglin a letter?
Michael ,   Petach Tikva   (01.06.10)
And if I were to mail a letter to Feiglin threatening to kill him, would that appear on ynet? I doubt it. Many politicians have received death threats in the past three years and yet the only time I read about it on ynet is when it is politically good for the left... even though it was probably written by people on the left anyway!
19. 3 & 13 are unfortunately correct
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (01.06.10)
like amir, teitel, goldstein, and eden, if it were a settler-type they would not write a letter and advertise it. no, without warning they'd cowardly blow away those with who, they disagree. settlers have their way, others have their way.
20. Reply #13, 17 Public support ? LOL
Avi ,   israel   (01.06.10)
Hate to break it you but the majority of Israelis like the rest of the world do not support your claims. If so then i presume you would support a public referendum tommorow would you? Because you know the the public would vote in favor of giving up the occupied terrotories, Why as a reserve soldier should i be dragged away from my family to protect you, when you hate us anyway? Sorry but we are no longer prepared to pay the price on every front fotr your so called idiology and so that you can get a better real estate. You people have the Worst PR i have ever seen. Most Israelis have never set foot in the occupoied terrotories. Go settle Holon or Rishon why dont you , apparently thats part of Israel last time i checked!
21. Holon Rishon etc???
Itzik + Avi ,   =Tel Aviv Settlers   (01.06.10)
Started as sand dune settlements, as did the sand dunesettlements of Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, Kedumim etc. We all pity you in your blinkers, but also laugh at you and your deluded ilk. History talks, the rest walks...
22. #20 Avi
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (01.06.10)
First comment: the Right would go for a free and fair referendum. The Right won every election where Golan, Judea and Samaria were the issue: Rabin defeated Peres, Netanyahu defeated Peres, Sharon defeated Barak and Mizna, Netanyahu defeated Livni, and this is even when you count Arab voters who don't identify themselves as Israelis but as Palestinians. When the "Left" won it was on other issues: Shamir lost on immigration, Netanyahu lost on economy, Olmert defeated Netanyahu because no one voted. Second issue: Will you accept referendum results? What is your comment on California Proposition 8?
