1. Trk dammed Euphrates & holds syria & Leb hostages
enslaved by Turkey   (01.12.10)
Since turkey dammed the euphrates river and syria has no water and lebanon hardly has water, they are now the slaves of turkey and will do whatever turkey demands. turkey controls the water and Iran controls the oil
2. What`s the gain humiliating Turkey ?
Nora Tel Aviv   (01.12.10)
Erdogan`s behavior is strategic. This humiliation will help Turkey to distance itself from Israel by expulsing Israeli consul from Turkey or retiring Turkish consul from Israel. In both ways Israel has nothing to gain and the Jews in Turkey have everything to loose. Israel can stop this by severely reprimending the foreign office.
3. Turkey knows very well how to play tit for tat games!
Ibrahim ,   Istanbul   (01.12.10)
Lets just hope simple people like Ayalon do not jeopardize Israel's strategic interests. Afterall, Turkey will respond to this.
4.  tit for tat, Turkey humiliated Israeli Ambassador..
Ali   (01.12.10)
5. arab media
colin   (01.12.10)
The arab media are looking for any way out of the humiliating speeches by the turkish PM. As the norm being the loosers the arab media are looking for some idiots like the EU or the UN to support thier lies again SORRY NO SALE THIS TIME
6. So much for diplomacy
Takan ,   Elat   (01.12.10)
Diplomats should check the definition of diplomacy in the dictionary. Although the Israeli feelings are understandable and even justified, tact is required while dealing with foreign powers (friends and foes alike). Mr. Ayalon displayed a pathetic behavior void of any diplomatic skills. What was the goal of this meeting? To find a solution? To inform the Turks of our dissatisfaction or was it only to humiliate the Turkish Ambassador to gratify our own primitive feelings? I believe the latter happened and Israel should learn not to behave like its neighbors. Let’s aim to be civilized!
7. I don't see a problem
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.10)
As long as Turkey's government countenances the disgusting -- and untrue -- television programs which are aired on Turkish government-owned stations, then Israel will accord Turkish officials all the respect to which they are entitled for permitting the airing of such despicable programs -- which is to say, no respect whatsoever. As long as the Turkish government accuses Israel of all manner of so-called "criminal" behavior while refusing to take responsibility for the war crimes committed against the Armenian people in the early part of the twentieth century and the more recent -- and ongoing -- war crimes being perpetrated against the Kurdish people in Turkey, Israel will accord Turkish government officials all the respect they deserve -- which is to say, none at all. If Turkey and the Islamic and Arab world find Israel’s honesty to be offensive and embarrassing -- well, good. It's high time. The Islamic and Arab world do much that is offensive for which they rightly feel embarrassed. Unlike the cowardly governments in Europe and the United States, Israel isn't here to make Arab and Islamic war criminals feel good about themselves. Islamofascists and ruthless and tyrannical Arab regimes need to be held to account for their actions. It's high time someone told the emperor he has no clothes.
8. her got what he deserved
happy ,   us   (01.12.10)
turkry can humilate israel all day long but one meeting later and the arabs are allin flames over Israel[ 's treatment of an ambassagor. this is what trukey has created a tiot for tit environment wherenothing is accomplished. But who cares, now that turkey has joined the axis of evil they have gone to the dark side.
9. Turkey gets it back in its face
Jeff ,   USA   (01.12.10)
Turkey has created this situationby its PM's continuous very public nasty insults to, and lies about, Israel over several months. It is very unfortunate. Israel is correct to demonstrate its anger in diplomatic gestures that Turkey's acts and hostile words are not welcome nor ignored. Turkey has many centuries of very skilled diplomacy behind it. Turkey can, if it wants, find ways to smooth this over and display respect to the sovereign State of Israel and proceed with much great good will than it has lately. FM Lieberman is very correct to demonstrate rebuke to Turkey at last. Turkey cannot honestly believe it is going to mediate between Israel and Syria. I hope this rough period passes and the two nations remain friends as both nations have some shared interests
10. How is that possible?
Tal ,   Haifa   (01.12.10)
Turks have no shame, just anger, especially if you bring up Armenia
11. GOOD TURKEY IS NO FRIEND OF ISRAEL
zionist forever   (01.12.10)
They are in bed with Iran, Syria and Lebanon but they also want us to think they are our friend as well. Eregodan has turned Turkey into much more of a radical islam supporting country. We certainly should not be inviting them to be mediators with any talks that may take place with Syria. Turkey can't play both sides and they have chosen the arabs & persians.
12. Thanx Sarah
James ,   Herzeliya   (01.12.10)
I couldn't have said it better. Thank you Sarah. Its high time the turks got a little bit of their own medicine. Enough is enough. Finally someone with huevos to tell the turks to go and suck an egg
13. Muslims got ego and that what they got
ghostq   (01.12.10)
to make the massege clearer, it worked like a charm. it doesn't matter if it was right or wrong their state of mind is child like and so someone spoke in language they could understand cause when Israel asked them they didn't want to listen.
14. Even though the anger was justified it was bad form
Joris ,   Brussels - Belgium   (01.12.10)
15. Baby snatching
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (01.12.10)
I really don't see what Israel is so upset about if it's not guilty of baby snatching. Why bother to even respond to Turkey about this TV series? Israel evidently has a lot of maturing to do.
16. Turkish Humiliation
NYC Girl   (01.12.10)
For years the Israelis and their supporters have tread very lightly concerning the issue of the Armenian genocide for no other reason than to try to maintain cordial relations with Turkey, even though privately, I suspect Israel never doubted Turkey's culpability . But if this is how the Turkish government re-pays a friend who, to some extent, squandered its own capital for the sake of diplomacy, then the ambassador got exactly what he, and his government, deserved.
17. So what; Turkey is no friend of Israel
Russel Harris ,   Tlv   (01.12.10)
18. #15 - Yes, buddy - but its time to stop the lies
Scott ,   Sunshine Coast   (01.12.10)
The "maturing" as you see it , should if fact be done by the people (who you obviously identify with). I mean, if I called you a liar and a baby snatcher, child killer, genocidist - even with your "maturity" - you may let that go once, twice ..but eventually you will say enough is enough. Just remember smarty boy - a sizable number of people globally do not believe your version of "facts" about Israel. Up yours.
19. Funny how the Arabs are always...
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.12.10)
demanding respect, but very seldom ever giving it.
20. For all you here
Hertzel ,   Tveria Israel   (01.12.10)
so happy about this episode: Where were you during the election? Did you you vote for this man? the only man that stands for our honor? I VOTED FOR LIEBERMAN, MY MAN IN JERUSALEM; YOU MAKE ME PROUD AND "THANK-YOU".
21. Erdogan got Failas Prize for serving Islam-Let us see if his
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (01.12.10)
prize is justified watching his response to Israel in this recent humiliation to Turkey
22. #15 it's called libel.
Tahl ,   Ashdod, Israel   (01.12.10)
So according to your twisted logic, anyone can blame anybody else with absolutely anything, with no accountability. Clearly, freedom of expression is not the freedom to spread boldfaced lies meant to stir hate toward an individual or society - or as commonly called, blood libels. Tomorrow the newspaper would call you a nacrophiliac rapist. If you'd angrily respond to this - then to quote you - I really don't see what you're so upset about, if it's not guilty of raping dead bodies. Why bother to even respond? You evidently have a lot of maturing to do. PS. Where were your lectures about maturity, when Arabs rioted all over the world, for a much lesser reason, of silly cartoons?
23. Enough is enough. Now help the Kurds
Sami ,   New York, USA   (01.12.10)
Enough is enough. Now let's go help the Kurds.
24. To: James at No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.10)
Always a pleasure -- you are most welcome!
25. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.10)
Silence implies consent to the charges, Robert. Israel is not the one lacking in maturity. And those countries who know such charges to be outrageous and false need to stand up and be heard. Jews and Israelis learned all about silence during the Holocaust, Robert. We lived the consequences of such silence.
26. To: No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.10)
Turkey gets humiliated in the international community quite a bit, and not just by Israel. You should be used to it by now. If not, work harder at adjusting, because it is going to get a lot worse now that Turkey is becoming all hugger-mugger with Iran and Syria, state sponsors of terror. Besides, just think about how humiliated Turkey will be when it is kicked out of NATO! Think of this episode as a dress rehearsal.
27. Erdogan got Fail prize for serving Islam?
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.12.10)
28. Ambassador Celikkol wasn't humiliated enough
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (01.12.10)
They should have never offered him a chair. Turkey has more than earned every bit of scorn that we can generate
29. Correction for Spelling:Erdogan received King Faisal Prize
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (01.12.10)
Sorry my heading is not understandable Erdogan received King Faisal Prize for serving Islam
30. To 21 You cannot humiliate TURKS but only Zionist collaborat
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (01.12.10)
To 21 You cannot humiliate TURKS but only Zionist collaborators Like FreeMasons dwelled in Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry Ministry of Foreign Affair in most of Countires are occupied by secret organization to align their foreign policies with Zionism This is a fenomenon of 100 years or more not new But in each an every such humiliation of Zionist servents under Turkish skin- you zionist serve to a national purpose-and you will be one of most important factor in realization of it. As for Nato: I hope god accepts your wishes and prays to disjoin Turkey from Nato- I would immediately leave Nato but Zionist-American interests and defenders of those interest in Turkey is very powerfull and keep us in Nato, a defunct organization serving only zionist interests
