Israel must be happy now. Good move Haniyah, you should take lessons from Abbas Abu Mazen. He give good lessons on cooperation with Israel security forces.
3. Haniyeh, Yemach Shmo, was never concered w. hurting Gazans
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (01.12.10)

6. Hamas wants rocket fire halt to avoid Israeli retaliation
Galut ,   Selah   (01.12.10)
That is the Key .... unfortunatly there are other factional groups in gaza that see it otherwise .... not sure hamas has that kind of polical clot to rein in these groups.... perhaps hamas could give over the co-ordinates of the leaders of these groups to israel... if they fail to co-operate in the cease fire....
7. hamas is petrified
david ,   new york   (01.12.10)
the egyptians and the israelis are now cooperating with the plan to end hamas. egypt is building a barrier to prevent smuggling and to choke off hamas. israel bombed hamas in reaction to rockets. hamas is weak and if israel decides to invade they are done for.
8. To: David at No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.12.10)
Very astute and well said. Not to mention the fact that Hamas clearly cannot control all of the terrorist elements in Gaza. There's a poetic justice in a terror organization being terrified. Being hoist by one's own petard is probably not a great deal of fun for Hamas but I confess to feeling immense satisfaction watching Hamas twist in the wind.

Hahahaha. Haniyeh now the well trained lapdog of Bibi Netanyahu. Sit boy. Down. Beg. Good boy. Now shut down the tunnels and maybe we'll give you some french food.
13. Ever Notice
RickD ,   USA   (01.13.10)
That Haniya is a popinjay? Take a look at that carefully trimmed beard. Notice the coiffure. This guy either spends hours in front of the mirror or pays some guys to do it for him. Have you ever seen him with his hair out of place or a scruffy beard? Don't think so. Ever see him out of a sports jacket? Only if he's in some kind of Arab garb. Popinjay? Definitely. Of course he's fat. He could stand to lose thirty pounds. If he did he might look like Omar Sharif. I guess he doesn't get too much exercise and probably isn't starving. I wonder how many Israeli and Palestinian deaths he's responsible for?
14. Terror works
Jared ,   Stillwater   (01.13.10)
Israel’s terror towards Gazans convinced Hamas to seek other means to deal with Israel; for now. However, Hamas and the Palestinians are convinced more than ever that the force of terror will change people.
15. Once egypt seals off the tunnels, hamass is screwed, blued

17. Hamas...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (01.13.10)
When Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza, did Hamas start building schools, universities, a free-market economic system, or any other part of a normal civilized society? No. Hamas’ top agenda was to go on a brutal rampage directed against its own people, the members of Fatah. Their next priority was to start shooting missiles at Israel. This is not the mark of a civilized society, but of brutal gangs fighting a petty turf war. Yet many people in the “world community” ignore Palestinian society’s extreme dysfunctional nature. As to the “Palestinians”, they prefer Hamas : http://xrl.us/bepvm7
18. Hamas is just a chronic wife-beater
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.13.10)
Hamas sounds like a guy who regular beats the crap out of his wife, in order to keep her from doing something bad - like fleeing her home to avoid getting beaten. Hamas says they want to stop Palestinians shooting rockets at Israeli civilians (a war crime, by the way) as a means of "protecting Gazans from Israeli attacks." Stop shooting Palestinian rockets at Israeli civilians in order to "block Israeli aggression against our people"??? Sure. Hamas leaders sound like they beat their wives unconscious in order to keep them from running away from the next beating.
19. lol finally they got to that conclution
ghostq   (01.13.10)
Israel try to tell them that for 9 years, no rockets no retaliate. but now at least we know that the delay logic goes at least 9 years, so maybe just maybe in another 9 years they will discover that violance is a cycle they initiate(the only thing they initiate).
20. # 17 this proves that Palestine is not for sale 1917

over 154 billion dollars in FREE aid since 1948, every U.N. resolution blocked, a financed weapons industry from the U.S. and cover for your nuclear program that makes it difficult to stop others developing nuclear weapons. Why don't you try selling some more tech we give you to China? Even George Bush got fed up with that. Israel is becoming a pariah state, and nobody wants the baggage that comes with Israel. And by God America sure has taken heat from around the world for it.
