2. Hey Turks, should we return the favor?
JPS ,   Efrat   (01.13.10)
Remember, folks, this is not a well researched and accurate documentary we're talking about. Instead, it's pure anti-Israel propaganda that has no or negligible basis in fact. Maybe an Israeli company should be hired to produce a series about life in Turkey, portraying Turks as abusive child-molesting sweat-shop slavers. And the Turks also randomly kill Armenian babies, Muslim women who besmirch family honor, and jail and torture all innocent people who speak out about the regime. Sure, let's see Turkey for what it's not, just like they want to lie about us. The let's see which diplomats get insulted when Israeli tv channels show a film about Turkish Muslim soldiers shooting Armenian kids in the arms of their mothers who are holding white flags. Come on, everybody knows that Turkey is a human rights abuser. We'd just be putting the Turkish issue on the table. No?
3. now DAFKA the turks are going to show us
Jacob ,   Munich   (01.13.10)
"The new movie will reveal the true face of Israel, and in accordance, the relations between it and Turkey will deteriorate even further", they prove with these words what the intentions art! At least they say what they think
4. A new film being produced on the Armenian Genocide
Barab Gelir ,   TelAviv   (01.13.10)
Is being produced in Israel in response to the Turkish Anti-Semetic film We are also working on a TV show to be broadcast on the Hidabrut Station depicting Turks slaughtering Armenians
5. Pana Films
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (01.13.10)
An Iranian / Turkish / Israeli alliance will mean the end of Arab Imperialistic domination of the Middle East. It is the Saudi's interest to incite the Turks against Israel. That is why the Saudi-owned Turkish company "Pana Films" makes these films.
6. Israeli Film - Armenian Massacre now .
Roland Seener ,   London England   (01.13.10)
7. Peace
Abuzer ,   Doha & Qatar   (01.13.10)
It is time to act rationally not emotionally. Turkey is the only country in the region has both diplomatic and military ties with Israel. There is no reason to burn the bridges because of a stupid TV show. The both nations need to focus what is good and ignore the rest.
8. Great to hear

syrian ,   dubai   (01.13.10)
Hollywood which is strongly Jewish run, has depicted muslims in much worse ways and many more times than the turkish series depcited Israels behaviour in gaza. Didnt see or hear Israel ever protesting that.

13. Turkey shoudl be worried, not Israel
Yaniv ,   Israel   (01.13.10)
Overwhelming historical statistics prove beyond any doubt that any nation with widespread and growing anti-Semitism eventually becomes totalitarian. In Turkey's case Islamic totalitarian. Islam is stronger than nationlist kemalism, as Muslim secularism is doomed to eventually fail and be swallowed up by Islam. Only a matter of time. These Turkish filmmakers are the same souls that made "der ewige jude" and who helped nazi totalitarianism swallow up Germany. Any Turk with an intellect and survival instinct should be alarmed about anti-Semitic voices. The Turkish public was not smart enough to stop the Armenian genocide (not smart enough to hide it either). Will they be smart enough to stop the return of Islam to Anatolia?
14. #10 In defense of Hollywood which I hate to defend
Yaniv ,   Israel   (01.13.10)
Hollywood movies cost a lot of money to make, so Hollyood producers only care about what will sell. For example, the largely Jewish financed film "traitor," Islam is spoken of as religion of tolerance, which is the overwhelming feeling amongst the liberal Hollywood elite. They see Islam as any other religion, instead of a fascist ideology. I have never seen the true horrors of Islam in any Hollywood film. Of course there are many Arab terrorists in Hollywood movies, but the true magnitude of Arab-Islamic has never been depicted by Hollywood. You don't see how much Islam gets away with in Hollywood, just because you don't see Arabs or Muslims being praised as angels as much as you would like.
15. to #10 so pinta creator is jewish?
ghostq   (01.13.10)
oh dear arabs blaming jews for their own mess.
16. Turkey
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (01.13.10)
If Israel's conscience is clear why on earth should you people be worried about what anyone says or does? There are many countries in the world on the receiving end of far worse. You don't see them cringing and demanding a (very childish) humiliation of their ambassadors. Posters here putting forward the idea of making a movie about distant past Turkish bad behaviour is as bad as you claim the Turks to be. At least the Turks are referring to current Israeli behaviour.
17. #10 - Show me, you lie
Izzie ,   zion   (01.13.10)
here we go, the typical stupid knee jerk answer from syria is .. jews control hollywood and make anti arab movies. Well list them for us. Go ahead, tell us all the films that were produced by jews that intentionally lied to depict arabs as baby killers, mass murders and sadists as the turkey televison show did and this film will do. Your silly excuse for anti semitism is understandable .. You live in a closed country with no freedom and are drilled with state lies to support the regime. I pity you because you are ignorant and do not know any better. Go read another article in your syrian newspaper that tells you how good you have it and how bad Israel is, one day you will wake up and realize what life could be like if you and your governement put their energy into making peoples lives better and not spending all your time, energy and resources on hurting Israel.

It beats me why Israelis bother to travel to this Israeli-hating country and spend their money there. We should simply boycott them.

26. Dear Yaniv
Monastras ,   Istanbul   (01.13.10)
Turkish producer also only care about what will sell. Nothing else. If it doesn't sell they loose money and go to hell. Turkey will never be an islamic state. I was worried about Erdogan's party 8 years ago but I think the turkish community is much more secular and demogratic at the moment. If you knew the turkish community you wouldn't say that they become islamic
27. #20 listen
Cem Pasha ,   Antalya TURKIYE   (01.13.10)

30. What is happening in Israel?
Leo ,   Denver, Colorado   (01.13.10)
Why is the Israeli public silent when the Israeli government commits atrocities? If these claims are true, and there seems to be strong evidence that they are, there need to be serious investigations and everyone who took part in killing innocent people should be brought to justice, no matter how large or small their role in committing the crimes. Maybe it is just me, but I have the feeling that the Israeli government is no longer a democracy, but some kind of authoritarian oligarchy, similar to the governance system of other Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia. It's like - when the government says something, it must be true and if someone objects, they are defamed as unpatriotic and are said to work to undermine the government. And if someone from outside Israel objects, then they are vilified as anti-Semitic so often and so loudly that these days hearing the word anti-Semitic in the US brings up the same kind of attention as hearing that someone's boots are dirty. For much of its history, Israel has acted like it was part of the Western world. Israeli culture, academia, politicians were on par with their Western colleagues. For the past 10 years, though, it seems as if this Western affinity has been disappearing - politics has become cruder and ruder, academia has languished, while culture has become more Oriental-like. I feel that Jews from the US, for example, can find fewer and fewer commonalities with Jews in Israel. There should be an investigation or Israel's image will be tarnished irrevocably. This whole debacle with Turkey would not have happened if Israel had acted rationally and let those responsible shoulder the blame.
