He's an American Jew who probably only immigrated to Israel to avoid being punished for his crimes. The State of Israel doesn't owe him a damned thing. Allegedly, this man committed a very serious offense, and he should be forced to stand trial in the U.S. Then, if he's found innocent and wants to move to Israel, he can be allowed to do that...although I don't think I would encourage him.

This criminal has destroyed hundreds of lives, and several of his victims have committed suicide. He purported to be a psychologist, but has never produced proof of a degree or training. He emigrated only when he realised that he would definitely face criminal proceedings in the US. He presently swans around Jerusalem with a full-time bodyguard. It is inconceivable that this be allowed to happen. He must have protection in high quarters to have pulled this off. I only hope that the journalists get onto this and find out what really happened.

This fellow has not been charged with such a crime in Israel so the whole mess has the smell of a frameup to me.

I am a journalist and I have been following this case for some time. I did want to point out a few things: Litzman had absolutely no involvement nor opinion in this matter, nor did the Grand Rabbi of Ger, Rabbi Alter. No one was "connected" and no one was "bribed". It took the Supreme Court Judges 13 months to reach their decision, given today. It was a tough case, and the Supreme Court gave their verdict after much research into the case. oh, and lastly, though I dont minimize the allegations, I dont agree with exaggerations: He hasnt destroyed "hundreds of lives" nor have ANY of his "victims" committed suicide. And I believe he does indeed have a PhD, though I dont remember the details, People just love juicy-ing up the stories.

Israel as usual does as it wishes... Abraham Mondrowitz moved to Israel to avoid the charges he obviously knew were going to happen. Israel not sending him back doesn't surprise me at all... look at the differences in the Laws over there for Israelis and how heavy handed they are for Palestinians.

This is a man who misused his alleged title and seduced children who were patients sent to him in trust to heal and he instead abused them.

If you have been following the case you would surely know that a google search would bring up testimonies of victims who have gone public and stated that they have lost siblings through suicide directly related to his abuse. And really, is suicide of a victim worse that the indictments of sodomy against him? Perhaps you would try reading an article in Haaretz (17/11/2007) "In the basement, behind a closed door" By Aviva Lori, for a précis of the case, and also an expose of his purported qualifications. It also mentions there a factor that the judge appears to have missed: the Statute of Limitation does not apply if the indicted leaves the areas of jurisdiction. There is indeed every good reason to extradite him and I hope that a further appeal is successful. BTW, what media source do u work for as a journalist? Why should someone with such a good command of English, in Israel, be taking such a close interest in (perhaps protecting) this beast?
