the "evil" Jews are helping the Haitian people and the richest countries in the world, i.e. the arab/muslim countries r not. How can this be? The y have more than enough money from oil so why didnt they offer to help?

again fail to show up for aid. can spend on arms for terrorists only. tiny Israel in action for aid immediately with medical expertise. iran, saudis, uae, too busy buying luxury goods and depriving their own populations to help.
4. Sarit, here's why Arab/Muslim aid is missing

The Islamic concept of "zakat" is directed toward "believers" - i.e. other Muslims. The folks in Haiti aren't Muslims, and have no use for the mosques and madrassas Saudi Arabia would otherwise be ready to fund. But they're tight even with fellow Arab and Muslim peoples. Of the top 20 contributors to UNRWA, only one is Arab or Muslim: Kuwait at #20. The other 19 are members of the infidel West.

7. #1 Actually, I was just reading ..
Christy ,   Boston, US   (01.16.10)
some articles about relief efforts in Haiti. One article spoke of a group from Turkey who were helping to excavate a collapsed house to reach a woman who is trapped beneath the rubble. I've also come across some news regarding medical workers from Israel. Story said a make-shift hospital tent had been set up and wounded were being treated. Haven't seen any articles about relief workers from Saudi Arabia, or other ME oil-rich countries. But, the Turks have been mentioned.
8. #2 - Israeli Help for Non-Jews
Christy ,   Boston, US   (01.16.10)
Read an article about medical aid workers from Israel who are helping anyone who comes. The article I was reading mentioned a Christian orphanage obtaining medical help from the Israeli medical group. The Israeli group had set up a tent and was treating anyone who came to them. I imagine in a crisis like this, all relief workers help whoever comes to them.
9. The Israeli team is helping everyone.

Chabad helped to facilitate that. Chabad also worked to try to ensure that Jewish victims and rescuers could keep kosher. But that's just one of the things it is doing. Why the article focuses on that is beyond me.
10. arent some of the survivors....JEWS

this article got me thinking in the back of my mind: are they only looking for jews to help??

Jews in Haiti are a miniscule group. Zaka is a group that helps with recovering bodies (and worked on Shabat that they would otherwise not do) which would be 99.9999% NOT jewish if at all. Obvious that a group like Lubavich will help Jews that want to to keep kosher, but they will help anyone in anything they can.In New Orleans and other devastated areas after the hurricane, many Lubavich went from all over the country to help.
13. Thank you for the infor, #12, tania
