I found interested that this article doesn't mentioned the help that the Dominican Republic is offering to Haiti, however is quick to post an misleading coment: She said officials just sit there and stare, while proposing nothing. She made a similar comment about officials in neighboring Dominican Republic, which was not hit by the disaster. They will not be bringing salvation. Please get your facts straight. Thanks.
2. misleading comment:
Dominicano ,   santo domingo   (01.16.10)
Washington.– President Barack Obama thanked the Dominican President for the assistance to Americans leaving Haiti. Obama placed the call to President Leonel Fernandez on Thursday night, The Washington Post reports today. The White House says Obama expressed his appreciation for the role the Dominican Republic has played in facilitating the evacuation of U.S. citizens and in the flow of relief teams and supplies into Haiti through the Dominican Republic. The paper also highlighted that Fernandez shared with Obama his assessment of the situation in Haiti in the aftermath of Tuesday's devastating earthquake. He had visited the capital of Port-au-Prince earlier Thursday. In another development, the paper also reported that Newsweek tapped President Obama to pen a cover story on Haiti for the Jan. 25 issue hitting newsstands on Monday.

Yakov your brain cells had an earthquake of their own. How can you possible compare gaza shit hole with earthquake in Haiti. Stop it already with this BS sick and tired of it. Why don’t you talk about jewish refugees from Islamic countries. Why dont you talk about how in recent years more jews fleeing from Islamic countries like Yemen and etc . Israel, Jerusalem Zion Forever

TO YAACOV, FLORIDA What nerve you have accusing Israel of destruction in Gaza. I didn't hear you complaining while Hamas was lobbing missiles into Israel for eight years (or when suicide bombers were blowing up men women and children here for years). And why say "our corrupt government" when you are in Florida? Come back and try to improve/change things.

Yakov, you must be careful: Miami is also a vulnerable zone and for your lie about Gaza G-d may punish all the area! LOL... I don't understand what govt you are talking about? Florida? USA? Israel? Are you OK? Stop smoking and begin to learn English!
7. Just curious: where are the Muslims?
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (01.16.10)
You see lots of international aid pouring in from all over. But I'm not seeing any from any Muslim countries. Am I missing something? Did the Saudis send a rescue team? Did Kuwait send tents? Did Libya send food and water? For all the talk about Islam being some kinder gentler religion, I don't see it. Anybody have links to news reports that I've missed about field hospitals from the Indonesian army or the Moroccan Red Crescent? And Iran? Nah, nobody expects them to help any non-Muslims no matter what, so no sense even asking about them.
8. Followup: some of the Muslims are there
Brian Cohen ,   Judean People's Frnt   (01.16.10)
Couldn't find anything online from the Saudis, but kudos to the UAE which has apparently sent at least one plane to help in transporting relief supplies, and some Arab countries have chipped in money. But the noticeable difference is that Arab armies don't seem to have advanced search and rescue units they send abroad to help other nations suffering from natural disasters. The Germans, Swiss, Israelis, Mexicans, Japanese, South Koreans, Chinese, Cubans, Venezuelans... all sending rescue units, doctors, field hospitals. But disaster after disaster it seems to be that the large, oil-rich, military-heavy Muslim countries who have the deep pocketbooks and lots of money to spend just aren't there. Why is that? Doesn't Muamar Qadaffi train some of his busty female bodyguards to do some plain, ordinary rescue work of fellow citizens-of-the-world? Nope, doesn't look like it.
9. Dear Haitian People,

May the Almighty G-d have mercy upon you and provide you with relief from your many sorrows and tragedies. You have our sincerest empathy. Peace be with you. On behalf of the Jewish people,
10. You're Wrong, Yakov
emanon ,   USA   (01.16.10)
Gaza is the source of its own problems. They were given a blooming land with an agricultural infrastructure and it has been turned into a wasteland by the hand of man and pure hatred. The Haitians I have sympathy for. The terrorists in Gaza I do not.
11. #3 your name is not "Yakov" Ahmed
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (01.17.10)
Move the population of Haiti to Gaza, and move the Gazans to Haiti. Within hours, they will be shooting rockets at the Dominican Republic.
12. to #3 if you use jackob name you do aware
ghostq   (01.17.10)
his other name was Israel, gelous I reckon that now palis don't get the attention they demand so much. the people of Haiti victems about 100000 people and they r true victims. palis list of victims containd Hamas members I saw the list and the names.
13. to #11 bad idea cause people of Haiti
ghostq   (01.17.10)
need nice people and not trouble makers like palis, I remember that palis were expelled from Iraq cause they made trouble there and they did start to shoot the local population in Lebanon. so Haiti people needs all the best and humanitarian aid and not criminals on their hands.
