It does not demand, or even suggest, that we LOVE them. Knowing a parent has murdered or done any sort of crime must be horrible enough, but to understand that they had been an eager participant in mass murder defies human comprehension. Since these people committed no sin against me, I am in no position to offer them forgive. I do feel a sense of revolting pity, knowing their parent's crimes will be part of their lives until time takes them too. Maybe the Christians actually do have the right idea about forgiveness.
