I have totally lost respect for Amnesty since they have become more political and biased. Like all these other EU lawmakers who constantly say Israel should end the blockade but ignore Hamas's involvement in the blockade. Logic shows it would be suicidal for Israel to open it completely. They also seemed to have ignored the fact that Gaza's aid increased by 28% in 2009(medicine and food).

It is always humorous to see some Jews/Israelis/rabid pro-Israel supporters condemn Amnesty International for any criticism of Israel’s many war crimes. Rest assured that you are in very good company as the following countries, who also have abysmal human rights records, also condemn Amnesty International for reporting the truth. Nigeria/Egypt/DPRK (The Democratic People's Republic of Korea). I can understand people’s frustration here as it must be hard to oppress and collectively punish 1.5m people (half of whom are children) with internationally respected HR Orgs looking over your shoulder. I’m sure many here would agree that life would be so much simpler if such independent and internationally respected HR Orgs did not exist and Israel could commit war crimes and human rights abuses without condemnation or censure. After all, in many people’s eyes, Israel is ‘not really’ committing war crimes and human rights abuses as it is only those pesky Palestinians that are being oppressed/starved/stripped of human rights/etc. As I have mentioned I hope ye find solace in the fact that you are not alone in your condemnation of Amnesty International as other corrupt counties and tin pot dictatorships have voiced similar sentiments.

Both the Geneva Convention and the UN Charter disagree. All nations have a right of blockade. Heck the Geneva Convention goes so far as to spell out how it is to be conducted. And explicit right cannot be illegal. I am all for increasing the blockade. No water, no food, no power, no fuel, no medicine. They are not 'occupied' by us in anyway shape or form and they do have another border. We do not have to supply them with anything whatsoever. That too is international law. The US occupies Cuba for the past 112 years and not only do they not supply anything to them, they have had an embargo in place for 51 years. Where is AI? Or HRW? Or the UN?
