Chestbeating and grandstanding for an insecure Israel. Japan and China lead the way with the USA!

The Israelis were the first ones to have a field hospital - fully equipped and operational in Port-au-Prince. The US doctors had only first aid supplies and were not equipped for surgery. They started sending the more severely wounded to the Israeli field hospital. China and Japan had search and rescue teams ... so does Israel, IN ADDITION to the field hospital... as previously mentioned, fully equipped, staffed and operational. IDF shines!!! Israeli hearts shine! Incredibly proud of Israel!!!!

To the Resistor, where are your Arab friends that are so helpful and generous. Only those of the UN and they did not choose to be there. so stick that up were the sun don't shine. I applaud all the volunteers for their courage in a most dangerous situation.

Resistor, this is an Israeli website--why does it surprise you that Israeli news portals report about the Israeli relief contribution in Haiti, and why do you characterize it as "chestbeating"? Yes, many other countries besides Israel are making great efforts to help the Haitians, China, USA, Dominican Republic (Haiti's neighbor), tiny Iceland, and they are all; being reported in the Israeli media too. But check out Icelandic media...they are covering Icelandic humanitarian relief in Haiti, check Mexican media, they cover the Mexican efforts. I am sure the desperate Haitians don't care about the provenance of the aid, but I'm also sure that Mexican news portals covering the Mexican effort don't have people like you deriding them & scolding Mexican media for covering it!

hospital as the referral center for the most seriously injured patients from the other hospitals. In other words, it has been providing unique value. The Chinese and others are doing great work and this should not be overlooked, but stop trying to minimize what Israel is doing. Hundreds more people would now be dead had the Israeli hospital not been so rapidly established.

All the other countries do their work with speed, efficiency and humility. Israel seems to be on a mission to say "Look at me! I am European, but Israel is SUCH a tiny state! Please like me. I will do good things to you if you ignore all the bad things I do" That is what I hate, not the actual good things that Israel is doing there. Put simply, there is no such thing as a free lunch with Israel.

Thats ok Resistor, you dont have to like Israel but please get your facts straight here. Israel is in the Middle East & not in Europe. An Israeli is not a European but an Israeli. Israel is not helping in Haiti to gain respect, merely helping a country that has been devastated. Israel is saving lives in Haiti with speed, efficiancy & humility.

As I said, there are many countries contributing, from tiny Iceland to China, and I am sure desperate Haitians take whatever help they can get. But it is widely reported and acknowledged that Israel's help has been delivered with SPEED and EFFICIENCY--even from the other aid givers--not that this is a competition. Misfits like you, however, are determined to deride any effort Israel makes.

Go to the Mexican news sites and see how they focus on the amazing efforts of Los Topos de Tlatelco in Haiti--the "moles" of Tlatelco (volunteer rescue org). They are a privately funded group that does amazing stuff--and they deserve recognition. And guess what, Mexican media focus on them--it's a major story that Mexicans should take pride in. But there are no mutant misfits like you scorning the Mexican contribution & the Mexican media for covering it. You're full of sh*t.
