"In recent years we are witnessing a new form of anti-Semitism – anti-Israelism." To insist Judaism = Zionism or the state of Israel is insulting as the two are distinct from each other. No sane person would believe otherwise.

Jesus said speak I to them in parables because they seeing see not and hearing they hear not neither do they understand and in them is fulfilled the prophecy of esaias which saith by hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive for this people´heart is waxed gross and their ears are dull of hearing and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them but blessed are your eyes for they see and your ears for they hear
3. Zionism Is A Nationalistic Racist Creed

It's 19th century European colonialism at it's worst. Zionism will not be the savior of Jewish culture but its downfall.
4. Question
Paul ,   Trinidad   (01.30.10)
If one must have a Jewish mother to be a Jew, why is it illegal in Israel for that Jewish mother to carry a Torah and wear a Tallit?
5. don't bother

seems like a waste of time, effort, and money, won't do any good, and might just invite more criticism. battles have to be chosen carefully, arguing against every attack jsut adds legitimacy to them. sometimes it's better to jsut ignore.

TO PAUL, TRINIDAD Where did you get this false information? In Israel it is not illegal for a woman to wear tallit, or to carry a Torah. It's not common, but it is in no way illegal. Again, erroneous information.
7. #6 It is not false information

You can google it yourself. Type the name Anat Hoffman in your browser. Or try this link. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3831223,00.html Do you really live in Israel? I can't believe you never heard about it. It's been in all the news, all over the world too. Do you have an answer?
8. To Paul: She lives in Israel; it is not illegal ...
EST ,   Miami USA   (01.31.10)
I have lived in Israel as well ... there are some areas that have a more orthodox influence and there are some with less. It all depends where you go. Israel is NOT like Islamic countries, where the modesty patrol rules everywhere and women get caned just for having a robe that shows a little bit of an ankle ... it is more of a blend and even then most Israelis are very tolerant of others ...
9. Let's defeat anti-Israel sentiment in Knesset/Supreme Court
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.31.10)
It is a good thing to defeat anti-Israel sentiment in the western world. However, the biggest problem is at home. The most dangerous anti-Israel sentiment is in the Knesset and Supreme Court. Far too many Knesset and Supreme Court members favour the lunacy of dividing Jerusalem - cetainly an anti-Israel sentiment. Other anti-Israel sentiments, in these institutions, include wanting to drive Jews from their homes because they are Jews, freeing terrorists to murder again etc.

TO PAUL, TRINIDAD Yes, I've been living here the past 40 years. Please do not believe everything you hear or read. I have been at bar mitzvahs where the mother of the boy was handed the Torah by the rabbi, and I have been at bat mitzvahs where the young girl circled inside the prayer hall with the Torah in her arms.I have also seen reform women rabbis here wearing tallit. This is not illegal, nor is a woman wearing a tallit illegal. As I said before it is not common, being more common in reform Judaism and probably unheard of in more religious circles. The thought of being arrested for this here is absolutely ludicrous. Mostly Israel is a very open, tolerant, democratic society. People have so much false information about this country!!!!
