1. Actually ...

Rather a foolish statement -- Obama's satellites can detect the brand name on a pack of cigarettes sitting on a picnic table, so trees and houses are not really a problem. That said, it is none of Obama's business where Israelis choose to live and plant tress in the Jewish homeland, so go ahead and build. What's Obama going to do about it? Invade? Not likely. Besides, he's way too busy trying to stave up what is shaping up to be huge Democratic losses in the November elections. You cannot realistically expect a United States president to pay attention to important things in a re-election year. This article presents a wonderful contrast juxtaposed with another article appearing on YNet today, "Terorists alert police of attack to increase casualties." Read here: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3837646,00.html They seek to maximize death and destruction; we plant trees. Kind of says it all, doesn't it?
2. To compensate fro uprooting the Palestinians olive trees

The olive trees were not uprooted. Their branches were cut back, standard practice in oilve cultivation. Didn't you see the pictures? Trunks upright; nothing but pruned branches on the ground. Typical Arab photo-op ploy, and you fell for it. Most of us did not. They've done it, what, five or six times now? Wise up.

Who is this Ynet again trying to alter history of 5000 trs.?? What and where is the west bank they report??Is it an area in Israel or are they trying to descibe Yehuda and Samaria?? Maybe they meant the west bank of the Nile that would be the Sinia!! Are Ynet attempting with lies, falsehood, deciet untruths or twisted words looking for an area to send a few criminals sometimes refed to as palestenians.Has Ynet imported some more leftests to push the journalism to further depths of hell.
5. #1 You show only one (bias) side of things.
Adele ,   Toronto   (01.21.10)
Yeah, because we all know settlers are peace lovers and arabs are dogs. /sarcasm Well actually, that's the rightests view of things (which in itself is wrong) since we know there are settlers out their making Palestinian lives miserable.
6. Obama's sattelite
Paul ,   Memphis, TN, USA   (01.21.10)
should pick up every disease in the world and shoot it down onto him and his stooges His days as POTUS are numbered and when I say numbered he can start counting them on his wife's 12 toes
7. Let's face it, Obama"s initial foray into
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (01.21.10)
Middle Eastern politics was such a disaster that he himself may not even care that much about satellite pictures despite the public posture.

I contrasted planting trees by Jews to Arabs seeking to maximize the efficacy of a planned terror attack by telephoning police to alert them to the threat. Not to warn them of the impending attack, mind you, but in the hopes of increasing police presence at the point of detonation. (It didn't work; the attack was foiled, but the intent was sure there.) I did not call Arabs "dogs." You did. Six wars all started by the Arabs and sixty-two plus years of Palestinian terror on a global scale have not exactly made Jewish lives serendipitous. You conveniently ignore this. Care to tell me again that I only show one side of things? Could you possibly be more hypocritical?
9. #2 - not uprooted by settlers, but by IDF
William ,   Israel   (01.21.10)
There were very few uprooted olive trees by the IDF, and this was done AFTER snipers used them for cover to target civilians and troops. It's legal per Geneva Convention. It's a shame, really, that Arab terrorists are engaged in collective punishment of everyone through their thoughtless acts of racist violence. The trees that weren't uprooted were trimmed back as you must do on Olive trees or they develop verious diseases and rot. You're in the ME - this is common knowledge!
10. Whether political or environmental, it's good
William ,   Israel   (01.21.10)
15000 more trees is good no matter how you slice it. Kol HaKavod on this Tu B'shevat. I hope thousands of more trees are planted all over the Earth's surface.
