Why do the IDF wear those bags on their helmets?
2. Entrence

I did. It must have been written by G. Shalev.
4. A barrier is good but..
Keren ,   IL-BR   (01.21.10)
Internal measures as conscietization about the consequences of hiring non Israelis for jobs is highly required. People must understand that Jews must be hired for jobs, fore and foremost and the mentality that are there less honorable jobs should change. Our forefathers were shoemakers,tailors...many professions and that never was a problem. Of course, studying and progressing is good and essential ,but doing manual work is not a shame at all.
5. when was the last time Israel did anything on time or on bud
zionist forever   (01.21.10)
The security fence in Judea & Samaria should have been completed years ago when Sharon was PM but its still not complete and its well over budget. The Jerusalem light rail is years late and millions over budget. How many years ago was it now they asked for gas masks to be given back for refurbishment and they would be returned in 6 months. We have had deadlines after deadlines for return of the masks and they still haven't been returned. We have been talking about a Gaza fence for years now but we are still talking Israel isn't very good at doing things on time or on budget.

Your grammar and spelling are terrible, so why do you call yourself "queen in meticulousity"? ("Meticulosity" isn't even a word.)
10. Race baiting and fear-mongering fascism...

If you wanted to spot your enemy easier and get a good head shot, would you prefer him wearing a helmet with or without a "bag"?
15. Keren, the world knows Israel is not a Free State...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.21.10)
...this is just George W. Bush jr style fear and smear mongering. It's nothing new, despotic countries do these kinds of things to keep the populace in fear. That way they do not question what the "protector" does, the IDF. We don't do that in a Free State like the United States. The fear and smear always gets trumped by the truth, and so it will happen for Israel. By the way sweetie, I am a Cherokee, not a black African. Not that there's anything wrong with that... We have a Haitian son-in-law and grand babies - I won't bore you with the rest of our extended family's pedigree but I will tell you that I recognize hatred and racism when I see it. And I see it in you. And in Israel. Your talkbacks and many many of the others show Israel is immersed in racism and hatred. So much so that the country is tearing itself apart. Instead of spending time on someone like me who cares about Israel and is trying to get people like you to recognize reality, start doing your own research, learn what those Israeli archives reveled to the New Historians. It's a real eye-opener. Morris, Pappe, Segev etc go get some facts my dear.

excuse me, sir, but do you know how many illegal mexicans in the usa are rounded up and deported on a daily basis especially in brownsville texas and el paso? hundreds. they have a wall there too to keep the migrants away from the usa border. when they catch them, they shove them across the border imprison them and deport them. is usa a fascist state? has america also sunk? or is it only israel that you bash. by the way, saudi arabia is building a wall now to encircle the whole country from migrants and terrorists to protect their border. is saudi arabia fascist as well? (yes it is, but in a different way) there is a huge wall around sections of tibet so that china can keep out the tibetans since they occupy that region. is china fascist as well in your opinion? egypt is building a steel wall 60-80 meters deep to keep the gaza population and the terrorists out. is egypt in your opinion a fascist state also? these people have no business being in israel. they are not its citizens and israel as a sovereign state has the legal and international right to expell those that are infiltrators. why do you think egypt doesn't take them? they are muslims!!!!!! why should israel be burderned with them and not egypt? did you ask yourself that or are you in the habit of looking the other way when it is not convenient for you. hameed aboughaze, iranian

Do you know what's happening in Sudan to cause so many of its African citizens (really indiginous people) to seek refuge in other countries like Chad and Israel? The racist Arab Muslim government in Khartoum is committing genocide against the indiginous black population in the south because in the early 1980's the Christian and animists rejected Khartoum's proposal to turn their country into a Sharia state. Since then, the Arabs have discovered oil in the south so they are also going after the black Muslim population in the Darfur region to clear away people for oil refineries. I don't see why Sudan's problem has to be laid at the feet of the Israelis. Do you? Even the UN has admitted that it's becoming a humanitarian crisis in itself, keeping up with the ever-increasing refugee population in Chad. So why don't you go to an Arab or Muslim website and demand that they be held accountable for their racist atrocities instead of blaming people who don't want to clean up their mess for them.

In the manual jobs,I include working the land , taking care of elderly and other jobs considered not so pleasant. Hire foreigners only under rigid control and as the last resort . Not for pamperings.

In peace-time Israel is always divided..it's a democracy with many points of view...including your united. You're trying to explheroes who would jeopardize her security ..Pappe, Morris, Segev. And very much a free country for those who would not harm her. However, in war-time, Israel becomes very muchoit our diversity and common sense to make us seem heartless when we already have our quota of these refugees. It's really not our problem (as Tom,USA #22 mentions), it's getting out of hand and down the line could well pose a security risk, to say the least. Israel's diversity could quite feasibly be mistaken for 'tearing herself apart - to you and your extensive 'peace pipe' sessions.

26. Sudanese and Potential Terrorism
Stephen Steinlight ,   New York City, USA   (01.22.10)
This article is of concern because up to now Israeli policy has been to award 'refugee status" to Darfuri Muslims but not the Southern Sudanese Christians who form a large part of those entering the country illegally. The Muslim Darfuris have no love for Israel, while the Sudanese Christians are "Christian Zionists." The bizarre decision to permit the Darfuris in, the result of politically correct selective compassion (far more Southern Sudanese were murdered in three separate genocides, with the perpetrators being largely Darfuri) resulted from the political pressure of the "Save Darfur Coalition," which did not think through the security implications for Israel. A close friend, an American who fled Southern Sudan, visited a refugee camp housing both groups during Israel's war in Lebanon against Hezbollah and witnessed fist fights breaking out between the Darfuris and Southern Sudanese when the Darfuris were seen to be cheering for Hezbollah during news broadcasts. If there is a danger of infiltration by Sudanese Al Qaeda or other terrorist elements, it is far more likely these elements are to be found among the Darfuris than the Christians. I urge Israel to grant the Christians refugee status -- and subject ALL from Sudan, Muslim and Christian alike, to the most thorough interrogation and background checks.
27. Mark, Bibi lied, do you even read Ynet?
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.22.10)
Jeez, I swear ost of you folks read the headline and never even bother with the actual content. See: http://www.ynetnews.com/english/articles/0,7340,L-3838052,00.html And I do not EVER want to hear the wingnut cry about "what about Darfur?" ever again. Now we know exactly how Israel feels.
28. Stephen Steinlight, Israel's true face about Darfur...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.22.10)
...thank you for the insight into how Israelis really feel about Darfur. For years many peace activists such as myself have endured the taunts from Israelis and their "supporters" asking "what about Darfur?" Of course we would patiently give many links to scholarly sources showing the huge amount of resources that human rights groups were pouring into Darfur. And then now we have Bibi and people like you, who come along and really let the world know what Israel thinks about Darfur.
29. BSNEWS loves to play the Native American card
Stephen in New York ,   New York   (01.22.10)
BSNEWS loves to play the Native American card and often posts that he’s a Cherokee. He thinks that gives him some special cachet. He also told us during the run up to the war in Gaza that things were approaching a crescendo. He was right about that, but I doubt that events were the crescendo he expected. And with Obama’s election he posted 200 times at haaretz.com that, for Israel, time’s up. And of course BSNews is famous for sneering that some see jihadists under every bed. Oh, yes, a genuine schmo.
