1. THE PALIS HAVE NO RIGHTS TO THESE LANDS
stude ham   (01.24.10)
BIBI IS CORRECT TO RECLAIM THE LANDS WE LOST TO FOREIGN INVADERS. YAHSER KOACH BIBI!
2. Then start building there again!
Wise Saba ,   Eretz Yisroel   (01.24.10)
3. :: Welcome to the One State solution
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (01.24.10)
"This is an inseparable part of the State of Israel. The vast majority of Israel's citizens accept this, and it is gradually being instilled in the international psyche," Keeping the illegal settlements = a One State solution. "Under the conditions Mr. Netanyahu is trying to impose, the only foreseeable outcome is a continuation of the status quo and the end of the two-state solution. Israel is sabotaging the two-state solution and imposing a de facto one-state solution, or bi-national state." Saeb Erekat 21 Jan 2010 Aside from the Palestinian populations in Gaza and the WB I trust that every Palestinian living in diaspora will also be issued with an Israeli passport.
4. talk is cheap and judge him on actions not promises
zionist forever   (01.24.10)
Just like the Bibi of the 90s he hasn't shown he is very trustworthy and will promise the Israeli public one thing and agree to do another if the US president tells him to. He is certainly no right wing PM anymore, he is a centerist and he wants to drive out the right wingers from Likud. When Bibi tells Obama he plans to keep the blocs and stands by it even if Obama rejected the idea then I will believe him until then he is all talk no action.
5. settlements
mohson   (01.24.10)
israel reclaimed its ancestral homeland in which the arabs were the colonialists. Arafat had a chance to share it in 94;instead he triggered jihad to kick the jews out and never mind what pacifist coward haaretz says. Settlements is the wrong term. it should be called villages, towns or boroughs as it is original israeli homeland. Arabs have to be educated on this point as they have told a pack of arab lies since time. Look at the list of countries donating to haiti-giving nothing or next to nothing are the arabs and certain asian countries. That tells the whole story. And Europe-what a gutless continent, like olmert-money grubbers who are yellow to the bone.
6. But BBS said "Bibi we'll be watching".
Mike M. ,   Seattle Wa.   (01.24.10)
.Apparently Netenyahu does'nt know who he's dealing with. He must have thought it was Obama who really will just only watch. The one state solution with Palestinians on the outside.
7. #2 After the 10 month "slow down".
Janice Cohen ,   Jerusalem Israel   (01.24.10)
Can you say "new settlements"?
8. Matty Groves You Anti-Semitic Dog
Yerach ,   Jerusalem   (01.24.10)
We will send the Fakestinians to Fairport. You have some nerve to complain about occupation & stolen land when you yourself are sitting on land stolen from the American Indians. And while I am at I may as well ask when will the US stop the occupation of Hawaii,Guam & the Virgin Islands as well as Northern Mexico which is the whole Western US today. If the US can keep all those huge tracts of lands which they stole surely Israel which won this land in a defensive war after being attacked by it's neighbors. Jordan renounced all claims to Judea & Samaria(the so called West Bank) so be rights it belongs to us. In wars the victors get to keep the land & Israel should not be treated any different than other nation that won land in war & annexed it. But what should I expect from a rabid Anti-Semitic dog like yourself?
9. :: Jordan is 78% of Palestine Mandate; it's populace is 80%
jae ,   Lynn US   (01.24.10)
palestinian. its rulers are non native, Empirial Britiush political implants, they are actually from Mecca. Jordan is Palestine. That is the one state solution for the "palestinians" who never had an identity as such- until Arabists created it 42 years ago.
10. talk is cheap
(01.24.10)
Netanyahu is toning down his anti-Zionist rhetoric, but he hasn't changed his ways. While Barak's troops prevent Jewish building, they encourage illegal Arab building in Judea, Samaria, Golan, Galilee and Negev. Their hope is that when the 10-month period is over, the Arabs will have created enough "facts on the ground" so they can say they had no choice but to create a new terrorist state inside Israel. It should be clear to Netanyahu that the people will not fall for his tricks.
11. how do you know when you are
Pete ,   Bat Yam   (01.24.10)
about to get screwed? When a politician says "Trust Me" Just like when Sharon said Gush Katif forever
12. I would not trust politicians - look what happened to Gaza
avraham ,   nyc   (01.24.10)
13. JEWdea is the Jewish homeland not 40 years but 4000
Jae ,   Lynn US   (01.24.10)
Let Jordan revert to being Palestine. Solution found!
14. Bibi's "promises"
Simmy ,   Tel Aviv   (01.24.10)
Bibi has made marvelous, bombastic statements before and then it all crumbles into pieces as pressures mount. If Ariel, Maaleh Adumim and Gush Etzion are an integral part of Israel, let the Knesset offfically annex them to Israel, just as we did for Jerusalem. Ooops - who knows what's cooking for Jerusalem nowadays with all the talk of a Palestinian state and their "eternal capital" Al Kuds? And what about the historic Jewish homeland in Judea and Samaria? Are hundreds of settlements, tens of thousands of homes and families to be swept away a la Katif? Bib should keep quiet. Everytime he - or our other wonderful politicians - promises that something is eternally ours, I get worried.
15. The whole of Eretz Yisrael is Israeli...
Truth Hertz ,   UK   (01.24.10)
The question is whether we are willing to allow part of the land to be used for another arab state, in exchange for a guarantee of peace. At present, there is no sign of anything that we could trust as a guarantee and to cede land to people who aim to set up a base from which to destroy the whole country is clearly absurd, as it was with Aza and the Oslo lie.
16. no3
hebrew prophet ,   israel   (01.26.10)
Since when is Matty Groves the Minister of Immigration ,Israel and who appointed him as he seems to be in the wrong territory,he should actually be next door in Jordan?
