Israel’s third agenda was to use the Haiti disaster as PR to try and repair Israel’s tattered international image. In truth I have not come across one other country that is using crisis in Haiti as ‘Good PR’. I fully thank the Israeli mission in Haiti for all the good work that they have done and the lives that they have saved. Credit where credit is due they did a fine job and were one of the first on the scene. I also fully condemn Saudi Arabia/Egypt for not lifting a finger; I think that their Government’s indifference is appalling. However I will not abide by Israel or any other nation using a travesty like the disaster in Haiti for its own benefit. I would give credit to the Israel spin doctors as they succeeded in Israel’s third agenda (to get mention of Israel’s mission in Haiti in as many media releases as possible) but as none of the other nations involved in this Humanitarian Relief effort were trying to use Haiti as a PR stunt the Israeli spin doctors didn’t have a hard time. The really sad part of this saga is that the Israeli mission in Haiti will be returning soon and not one of them will be asked to go to the Gaza Strip and help the 1.5m people (half of whom are children) who are injured/maimed/made homeless/etc after last years attack. If Israel wants to win this PR battle it must first deal with the brutalized/occupied and oppressed people on its own doorstep ie: the Palestinians.

if USA realy cared about that country it would have helped them before any quake, the only reason you do that cause you don't want them at your back yard, and since president nobama took care of his family from Kenya but not willing to really help these people, stop accusing others of ego cause you r not super power anymore, you manneged to screw up around the world in so many ways including dealing with NATO in the last 5 years. you r not all mighty ant the last friends around the would you push away, europ or other places don't like it when the USA act as if the europ is USA territory. so get reall.

For you , even if we stayed there for years, it would not be enouigh . If EVERY country had contributed as MUCH as Israel has done , and proportionally to their wealth or populations , then you could say something . WE have done MUCH more than any other country , proportionally to our population and wealth . Has your country's mission gave surgery to 12,000 Haitians ? Delivered 600+ babies ? Saved 40,000 lives ? Not at all . So SHUT up .

Charles, 16 babies were delivered by the Israel medical team in Haiti, not 600. 314 surgeries were performed not 1,200. The IDF's hospital treated 1,102 Haitians.

If I were a prosperous state with an awful, international image, and reputation that badly needed a PR boost, I would've contributed a great deal more. Can I pat myself on the back too as a citizen of nation that will assume the burden of aiding & rebuilding a collapsed basketcase for the long years ahead, when other states out there made a symbolic contribution, and then pissed off into the horizon as quickly as possile?

More than 1000 Haitian's lives , operated more than 300 of them , and delivered 16 Babies . Remember that the USA rescue team brought people they saved to the IDF field hospital , because their's was not functioning or incapable to provide the necessary medical care . POOR LOSER !

The IDF hospital was there first of all to SAVE people in NEED . And indeed , they represented what the Israeli can do as NO other can [ with the possibilities we have ] : To help people when they are in need . Your last sentence : We can't help people who refuse it or who's only goal is to destroy us .

Haiti is all about many nations extending whatever aid they could/can provide to the devastated Haitian people. Does it really matter which nation did what, did more, provided less, provided more? Why all the mud slinging here? The fact of the matter was/is that each nation helped in their own way. Lets not behave like little kids here.

Both Cuba and Venezuela were in Haiti standing up hospitals before the Israelis ---- and also kind of importantly, these 2 countries will continue to foot their own bills, where I as an American will pay taxes for Israelis to have been there.

How dare we Americans say anything about the timing of the Isreali team leaving. No matter what, they were there first, ready with all that they had. They worked hard during the days of "waiting for others to showup" and when relief came, they can now rest. Please USA, compare the land mass of the USA to the land mass of Isreal, compare the number of American states/citites/hospitals/physicians/nurses, etc to Israel. Pound for pound, ounce for ounce, Israel is truely GREAT. As the Christian Holy Bible says, G-d loves those who give greatly from all that they dont have than the crumbs from all that they do (paraphrasing).
