1. The non-Jewish Supreme Court isn't holy
Avi ,   Jerusalem   (01.27.10)
They use non-Jewish law for the Jewish state. There's nothing holy about that. I don't believe in violence against these misguided people, but they need to understand that their holiness comes as Jews in the Jewish land, not as proponents of non-Jewsh law and values.
2. she is not the Gd
john ,   al quds   (01.27.10)
she send hundreds of innocents to jail, she thinks she is ubove the law, she must rethink hereself, think about poors and powerless she sent to jails.

Avi ,   Israel   (01.27.10)
Incase no one told you Israel is a democratic country in fact the only one in the middle east,. Israel is not and i repeat not a state run accoriding to religious laws, if you dont like this then you are free to leave. You cannot and will not impose religious law on non belivers, if thats your life style then i suggest you move to Tehran
6. take it easy
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (01.27.10)
A few years back, extreme-Left activist Gal Arbel attacked then-Minister Ruby Rivlin with a pie. No called the minister part of a holy institution, no one was shocked, no one spoke about crossing red lines. Beinisch and everyone should take it easy and laugh.
7. Not funny and not acceptable
Ilan ,   Ariel   (01.27.10)
The court isn't 'holy', but attacks on public officials, be it the court or the knesset, can not be allowed. A big mistake was made in not severely punishing the people who attacked Reuben Rivlin several years ago. Hopefully this will shock people into making this sort of attack considered a serious crime.
8. correct BUT
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (01.27.10)
The words of # 1 and #2 above are correct BUT NOTHING, NOTHING excuses or explains boorish behavior. Throwing shoes, is unacceptable. There are other ways to voice displeasure. This method negates any message the thrower may have!
9. Just one shoe?
Ariel ,   Europe   (01.27.10)
10. TO #1 Avi ,you are right!
Salma ,   Palestine   (01.27.10)

Lebanon has a parliamentary democracy and as been a democracy before Israel was created.
12. disgusting low level primitive behavior
Ilana   (01.27.10)
ugghhh!! Shame oh him for exhibiting such beastly primitive behavior! Where did he learn this from??
13. Judge hit with a shoe...
Bruria   (01.27.10)
I don't condone violence, but on the other hand this woman has done more to destroy the fiber of Jewish life than most of our enemies. What dd she expect? That we would eventually fall to our knees before her and "see the light"? And for the record--there is absolutely "nothing" holy about anything connected to her.
14. Matty: Your Depth of Misinformation is Overwhelming

15. Shoe thrower threatened judge in 2006 but kadima blames govt
jason ,   haifa israel   (01.27.10)
Roni Bar On of the kadima party blamed bibi when the same shoe thrower threatened another judge in 2006 and has a history of violence of fracturing his lawyer's hand. The man had a personal history with the supreme court president and she was involved in a personal case of his and dealt with her at hearings. This man wasn't a settler angry at the supreme court so for Kadima to blame the government's words over this is hypocritical.
16. was that shoe anti semitic too?
just wondering ,   planet earth   (01.27.10)
17. #11 Lebanon is a parliamentary canton-state.
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (01.27.10)
The major roles of Lebanese government (President, PM, Speaker of Parliament) are divided based on the Sunni/Shi'a/Christian lines, and there are allotments to each group in Parliament. That is not an equal democratic society, but rather a set of completely separate religio-ethnic groups under the same national umbrella, and who had to decide to live together after trying (quite successfully, at that) to commit genocide against each other several times over the past few decades. Each group in Lebanon votes on religio-ethnic lines. Each group in Lebanon has its own armed groups, even though after the civil war ended all of them supposedly disarmed disbanded, all save Hezbollah. They all have their guns under the bed, and have even used them when Hezb's armed thugs went a bit too far. Lebanon has no comprehensible national military structure, with Hezb now existing as a "separate, but unofficial/official" armed group that has undefined responsibilities and no legal checks and balances whatsoever. And Lebanon's political structure is so heavily tied to Syria's that the strings show. Lebanon? A democracy? Don't make me laugh.
18. must have been....
Marco ,   Spain   (01.27.10)
one heck of an anti semitic shoes... lol
19. Detroit could use a good pitcher for Tigers.

20. #11 - is that with or without Hizbullah?
William ,   Israel   (01.27.10)
Considering a terrorist entity inside the govt can make a unilateral attack on a neighboring sovereign nation.... then use its weapons to attack the population when the majority of Lebanese called for Hizbullah to be disarmed.... doesn't sound like much of a democracy to me. Are they teaching a different Leftist-type of Democracy that supports despots and terrorists where you live? Just curious.
21. This is outrageous! Only I am allowed to throw shoes at Jews
