31. Arab leaders assuming everyone in the West is stupid
Sam ,   Canada   (01.28.10)
If the Arabs can't erase Israel with two Palestinian states. (West Bank State and return of Palestinian refugees into Israel for second Palestinian state) then they will insist on just one Palestinian state with no Israel. This has long been the Arab solution. There aren't enough Jewish and Western dumbbells to buy into this but Arab leaders keep on trying anyways.
32. Wouldnt take long for them2do as they do2Xtians of Bethlehem
Alan ,   SA   (01.28.10)
AND LEBANON ...They would make sure that Jews moved out of this abortion state- Take Bethlehem or even LEBANON ....In both places they(Muslims) ensured that the Christians dis appeared. What was Christian population in both placessay 30 years ago and what is the Christian population now Dont worry in time they will make the Christians of Europe will also disappear. Will we be living under Sharia Iranian Hamas?Hezballah Laws or zoot suit Assadian Code of Laws
33. Can anybody answer me?
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.28.10)
I'm pouring over the history books, including and especially American history books, and I can't find the answer. Can someone help me out? Question: When did it ever happen that a country was attacked, defended itself, pushed the attacker back into his own territory, took buffering territory from the attacker to prevent a future attack, and then after winning the war gave back the territory to the losing attacker? Is there a precedent in all of history for such an action?
34. #7 Same way the Arab states have removed all their Jews.
rebecca ,   Modiin   (01.28.10)
Have you not noticed that the Arab states have thrown all or most of their Jews, with no care for what they owned in those Arab states. If we did the same the UN and EU would send millons of $ to resettle them. Have you also noticed that the PA plans to do exactly the same as it's Arab brethren, without compensation, to the Jews living in Judea and Sumaria. "I hate idiotic people".
35. #29Arab demand includes Pals living outside West Bank+Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (01.28.10)
Starting with the Palestinians living in Lebanon, the Palestinians demand ALL Palestinians living outside Israel be allowed to live in Israel. Be careful what you wish.
36. Agree with #3 & 4
ezer   (01.28.10)
One state is fine but should include all of Jordan (former British Mandate). All of a sudden, there is plenty of room for 2 people sharing the same land and each can retain its own citizenship.

peter ,   amsterdam NL   (01.28.10)
I think that there are several examples from Europe, the Americas & the Far East of countries who after a war settled on exchanging territory. But you forget 1 thing: when the 1st Zionists(Biluïm) cam in 1890 the country was Ottoman. They didn't want to give away the country either...
40. #38. Not much of an answer
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv   (01.28.10)
Would you care to give specifics, or like every other leftist who has no answer, you are being evasive?
41. #38 regarding #33
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv   (01.28.10)
You proved my point. The Ottomans lost Palestine in the First World War, and Britain kept it for herself. Britain DID NOT OFFER TO GIVE IT BACK to the Ottomans. To the victor goes the spoils of war, especially when the victor is the defender. Secondly you speak of an "exchange of lands". What "exchange of land" do you propose here in this case?Maybe Israel gets Jordan and Lebanon in exchange for Gaza and the Golan?
42. Let them dream
Jeff ,   S.A.   (01.28.10)
Their two state solution is an Israel full of arabs and a Palastine without jews.Their one state solution is a Muslim state from the sea to the river. Islamization is their real big goal, 57 totalitarian Muslim states are not enough, they want to rule the world under sharia law.
43. Jordan for the palees, Israel for the Jews.
dave ,   uk   (01.28.10)
44. #7
Jane   (01.28.10)
The idiot is you. Jordan is 78% if the British mandate Palestine. 65-70% of the population of Jordan is Palestinian. Do you ever read a history book, or do you simply glom onto someone else's propagandistic diatribe?
45. Yitchak, Treaties with Egypt and Jordan...
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.28.10)
2nd try... ...there has been no right to conquest since WWII. See the UN Charter, Article 2(4) and the 1970 Declaration of Principles of International Law. In the treaty with Egypt, Israel returned the Sinai, excerpts: "Convinced of the urgent necessity of the establishment of a just, comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East in accordance with Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338;" ... Article 1, paragraph 2: "Israel will withdraw all its armed forces and civilians from the Sinai behind the international boundary between Egypt and mandated Palestine, as provided in the annexed protocol (Annex I ), and Egypt will resume the exercise of its full sovereignty over the Sinai." In the treaty with Jordan: "Aiming at the achievement of a just, lasting and comprehensive peace in the Middle East based on Security Council resolutions 242 and 338 in all their aspects;" In that treaty, Israel returned 380 square kilometers of formerly occupied land. Please note the common thread, 242 and 338. It would probably help if you studied those resolutions and others that came before, 181 and 194 for instance, and study the two peace treaties that Israel currently has, and that would answer a lot of your questions. Although I believe you were just being cute and had no intention of asking a question, I think you were assuming that no such things have happened before and lo and behold, two precedents with Israel proper.
46. Amr should try a 1-state solution with
Jacob ,   Munich   (01.28.10)
Egypt & Gaza, the second 1-state - solution Westbank & Jordan
47. Moussa
alexi   (01.28.10)
Mubarak and sadat latterly were fine egyptian patriots unlike earlier leaders. moussa is like the earlier leaders. A big mouth know it all yasser arafat buffoon is a good description. At davos he sat with a smirk on his face applauding islamic erdogan as he ranted against israael to satisfy his wife ermine back home who is a fire brething arafat arab.Moussa is a bloody fool who should be ignored along with the rest of his tired stale group. Ask yourself this-why is it when middle east students come to N. America, they do well in sciences and engineering and medicine. They go back home and they turn into dumbbells. Why? islamic pressure is the reason. In Europe and North america, they have some freedom and independence. Back home, the state watches them from the mosques and scares the hell out of them.
48. Arabs are Hypocrits
Dan Stoler   (01.28.10)
They always talk about a Palestinian state, but oppose a state for the Kurds in Iraqi Kurdistan. They oppose a state for the Berbers in North Africa and the Black Christians in Southern Sudan. Moussa is just trying to divert attention to Egypt's racist policy against the Coptics.
49. #27 You are the one objecting to One State
BBSNews ,   Charlotte, NC   (01.28.10)
for Arabs in Arabian peninsula your native land instead of 21 States in 3 continents You are the one occupying many other peoples' lands and refuse to give them back You are the one denying anyone else's in the Middle East the right to be independent, Kurds, Druzee, Persians, Armenians, Arameans, Copts, Nubians, Blacks of Sudan, Berbers, Syriacs, Asyriacs, Chaldeans, Maronites, Berbers, Saharawis, Jews, Carthaginians, Phoenicians You are the one who took by force Jewish Beit Lehem and then have the gall to want more

Pal ,   Haifa /Palestine   (01.28.10)
we are going full circle since 1948 ... we can say ..we have told you . this is how it was befor 1948 ..and this is the way it is going to be . equal rights to all citizens or risk being labeled as the only aparthied country in the world . you have 6-7 millions jews outside ,we have 7-8 mils palestinians outside as well . Jordan is not palestine ,we have talked about that long ago .
51. Here the Arabs are attempting to dictate the rules to us
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (01.28.10)
We do not have to accept anybody. Giving somebody citizenship is strictly an internal matter that NO nation or organization can force. I will use the 'Palestinians' as an example. They are now third and even in some cases fourth generation 'refugees'. Born in a variety of countries and except for Jordan not allowed to become citizens. Which again proves that Jordan is the homeland for them. After the separation of Pakistan and India over 10 million people were relocated. Today not one is a refugee. At the same time over 900,000 Jews were forced from Arab countries and just over 400,000 Arabs left Israel. The Jews are not considered refugees - not a single one. All of the Arabs and every one of their descendants are. Just because the Arabs demand something doesn't mean we have to do it.
52. Arab leaders want Israel to throw them a lifeline
Sam ,   Canada   (01.28.10)
It's the intent of the Arab leaders to get rid of a Jewish- majority Israel but they need Israel to willingly give them a Palestinian state. You see, Arab leaders are afraid they will be toppled by the radical Arabs if they don't produce anything for their people, so they would appreciate if Israel cooperated and committed suicide. What are friends for?
53. One Jewish State in Poland & Germany
Eren Doga ,   Bosnia   (01.28.10)
To the racists who say there is already one state for Palestinians in Jordan: MAYBE THE BEST SOLUTION IS ONE STATE FOR PALESTINIANS IN THEIR NATIVE COUNTRY, PALESTINE AND ONE STATE FOR JEWISH PEOPLE IN THEIR NATIVE REGIONS IN POLAND & GERMANY. IN THIS WAY, YOU CAN LIVE IN PEACE WITH YOUR KILLERS !
54. OK but arabs
Iossef ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
55. One state solution. Pay Arabs to leave.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
Israel should have no fear of the One State Solution. First of all, "Palestinians" are deluding themselves if they feel they are winning the demographic race. The Arab population of Judea and Samaria is only a fraction of what the PA claims it is. This has been proven by highly credible American and Israeli studies. Secondly, Israel will pay Arabs to leave, as many have long wished to. However, let Moussa have his delusions. They are no different than "Palestinian" delusions that they would soon destroy Israel and return for our property.
56. @10 agree with you
Iossef ,   J'lem   (01.28.10)
Let give jordanian citizenship to all arabs in Yuda-Shomrom who descend from immigrants after 1948. Annex YS. Give to Jordan kingdom the administration of arabs towns in YS except for some of them like Hevron. Pass an agreement with Jordan for the management of water, roads etc. Let us promote bizness betweenour two populations and repress strongly every agressive attitude. Etc etc. Jews have lived with arabs during centuries, there is no reason that arabs cannot live with jews, ב סוף דבר we are half-brothers.
57. MOUSSA, NOT IN YOUR DREAMS. FORGET IT.
Roy ,   Fl   (01.28.10)
58. Shouldn't Moussa present economic model for Pals?
William ,   Israel   (01.28.10)
At the World Economic Forum, hijacking the event for a political agenda (which is quite common for Arabs) is unacceptable. Why not put the focus on building a sustainable economy, to help the population, to move the psyche towards peace, then move to State building. The Arabs have always demanded the other way around, and we see too many despotic and failed States as a result. Then again - if "Pals" are so quick to throw away the fastest booming economy and free movement, who's to say they wouldn't do it again?
59. we should have handled the peace process differently
ZIONIST FOREVER   (01.28.10)
JORDAN We have been approaching this whole thing wrong from the start. Ever since the first intefada Israel and the rest of the world should have been saying Jordan you need to take these people in. An international fund will be created to compensate you and Israel will return some territory to you but not all. For those whose homes are not in Jordanian territory they will be citizens of Jordan and be granted a permanent residency visa to live in Israel as a Jordanian citizen. It would have been very cheap to set up, we could have taken the PLO out the picture. The palestinians would overnight become citizens of a developed stable country with plenty of room for them to live. The deal could have been worked out on paper before it was even presented to the PLO. I am sure if the palestinians had been presented with this offer and told you can decide if you want to accept this offer through referendum most of them would have agreed which would have destroyed the PLO powerbase making it impossible for them to reject the offer. I think the settlement movement would have agreed to give a limited amount of land to Jordan if it would involve them taking in the palestinins.
