For those of you who don't know,Ashton is one of New Labour's trusted hacks who worked her way up doing nothing in local councils and quangos and came out of it very nicely.
She's the female equivalent of Peter Mandleson who knows how to talk but achieves nothing,yet always comes out smelling of roses.
Just remember how Mandleson spent years unsuccessfully negotiating a World Trade Treaty and still talks of i as a great success.
