I am very proud that we are helping so much in Haiti. However, I have one problem. I have heard that Yad Sara branches in Israel lack equipment due to shortage of funds. We have to help our own too.

Based on an Israeli model, Israelis years ago set up a "youth village" in Rwanda for many of the orphans after the violence of the 1990s. The quake in Haiti no doubt has orphaned thousands of children.. Any work being done on such a project?

They did the same thing in Gaza and West Bank. The difference is that while Haitian kids (known to be hardworking and eager to learn) rushed to find supplies to learn, the "palestinians" just attacked it and blew it up. So why does the world give their money to "pals" and not Haitians? It would definitely be a better Return on Investment.

wow, they don't even allow black Israeli kids to attend some of their schools and they are building schools outhere!!!

The education system here is terrible and we want others to copy it? Our test scores are about as low as possible and may be worse than some third world countries.

Wonderful thought but dont you think Israel needs to concentrate on the Education System here which is in urgent need of improvements. I suppose it looks good.
