31. #15 lets go with the facts
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (02.06.10)
First off the Arabs have no legal claim to any land west of the Jordan. Go ahead and disprove that statement. Second your claim of occupation, even if they did is contradicted by the Geneva Convention. Third the claim about ' Resisting occupation by all means is legitimate ' is illegal. The Geneva Convention specifically denies that. Nobody has that right. It is not legal, it does not exist as a right to anybody anywhere at anytime.
32. Long enough for the UN to hear...then withdrawn
William ,   Israel   (02.06.10)
Who are Hamas trying to fool? The UN, of course, which apparently isn't that hard. Hamas issued the "apology" along with the report in order to trick the UN who actively ignores the terror of rockets for 8 years prior to Cast Lead. The UN say "awwww, that's ok", then Hamas makes a retraction while the UN isn't looking. This is akin to a kid being forced to apologize by a parent, and the kid keeps his fingers crossed. Hamas only real apology if for not killing MORE civilians.
33. #3 - Um, I don't regret that at all!
William ,   Israel   (02.06.10)
After all, all groups were born from years of Arab massacres of Jewish citizens and the British offered no protection whatsoever. Plus, many of the so-called "atrocities" these groups are accused of don't seem to have much factual backing. Every argument I heard against these groups either came from Wikipedia or Ilan Pappe - both seriously lacking true research credibility.
34. #15 - Resisting occupation by any means?? Wrong!
William ,   Israel   (02.06.10)
This is the exact argument Arab terrorists are making when targeting civilians. No matter what your complaint is, targeting civilians is NOT acceptable by any means. However, Hamas (and you) do not apologize for destroying families and tearing limbs off of children, even though they have nothing to do with the military actions or are even near a military base. In 1999 - Gaza had a fast growing economy and there was much freedom to "pals" everywhere, until they began terror. THEY began terror - blowing up buses, targeting civilians, all to gain more concessions from Israel. You're simply mad because Israel fought back rather than give in. Actually, per law, Israel has every right to use any means to stop the brutal occupation of the land by Arab terrorists.

Thanks for your post.
37. Collective Punishment.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (02.07.10)
Despite its failure to improve the living conditions of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and its responsibility for the ongoing suffering there, Hamas is still admired by many because of its continued defiance and refusal to bow to US, Israeli and Arab pressure. Poll after poll shows widespread collective support among the majority of the Palestinian Arab population for Hamas and for the destruction of Israel. More at : http://xrl.us/bfnjsx
38. Like we believed them in the first place.

39. like anyone realy believed they sorry in the first place
ghostq   (02.07.10)
after so many sucide bombings, this apology isn't worth much. and the taking it back means even nothing to anyone.
40. No civilians in Israel
Goliath   (02.07.10)
All Israelis are militarily-trained and armed. Civilians holding arms are not civilians any more. So what do you mean by Israeli civilians?
41. The real news is...
EZ ,   US   (02.07.10)
that Hamas is becoming as much of a joke as Fatah is. Corrupt, transparent liars.
