Aviva ,   Jerusalem   (02.10.10)
Where are young couples just starting out supposed to get that kind of money, unless they are celebrities or young heirs and heiresses?
2. Will they sell to singles?
Dorothy Friends ,   Tel Aviv   (02.10.10)
Or to the elderly? I think unless you are Mishab you are not allowed to discriminate in who you sell to, even if you are a private company.

Believe it or not, people can earn and save money in this country. And no one said it's for people "just starting out". Under-35 means you could have been working for upwards of 10 years. Of course, there's always the bank, with this newfangled thing they call a "mortgage".
4. No, because a single income should afford twice the price

This is a very rich and prosperous nation. When you leave the anglo "communities" like Bet Shemesh or parts of Jerusalem you will see what I mean. Go to Rananna, North TA, Herziliyah, Rishon, etc. Swimming pools, big houses, convertibles, lots of NIS all over.
6. they are not your average Israeli young couple
zionist forever   (02.21.10)
How many Israeli young couples can afford $254,000? Also how much will taxes, Vard Habayit and other expenses be on luxury apartments like these? The government should be making do on promises that have been made for decades and thats build more affordable housing. Just good old fashioned low cost buildings without the spa pools but affordable. To many old buildings around Israel are being pulled down and replaced with more expensive modern buildings where the apartments are not as affordable as the new builds.

what will the apartments be like?
8. What's Up With All This Luxury?
Alison ,   Tel Aviv/New York   (03.17.10)
Instaed of building one luxury building we could be building hundred of units in poor communities. Why do we always end up worshiping the golden calf?
