Seems like there is some sort of protest against Israel and the west by an Arab group every day. This time it's coffee? You'd think there are better things to do.

as the nation-state of the Jewish people", and that is based on League of Nations decisions of the early 1920s, United Nations resolutions of the late 1940s and the universally accepted right of all peoples, including the Jewish people, to national self-determination and independence. These demonstrators object to the above, as is most of the Muslim-Arab world. And what is your opinion...??

EST ,   Miami USA   (02.11.10)
disrupt everyone's life through intimidation and violence??? I have never heard of a peaceful pro-Pali demonstration that is truly free of violence, extreme hatred and racism. They truly don't get it. They know nothing but intimidation, coersion and the spread of violence...just like their brothers and sisters. It is an endemic problem. They demand freedom of speech yet will not grant it to others, they demand equal rights yet refuse to acknowledge the rights of others, etc., etc. Yes, they have the right to demonstrate for their beliefs ... and no, they DO NOT have the right to destroy businesses and the property of others when demonstrating...they act as if all of them are goons and murderers...what else are we to conclude?
17. To: Eyal at No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.11.10)
No Timothy's in Israel, but you might want to contact them and open a franchise. You'd make a fortune. Timothy's is -- without question -- the best.

21. Cafe Hillel good too!
Trumpeldor ,   eurabia   (02.11.10)
That is the real reason of starbuck's failure in Israel
22. #20, We do need to pay attention
Micha   (02.11.10)
The problem is when these acts are not met with some show of force telling those people they may not violate other's rights. If you ignore them, they will just continue. When the West decides to divest from Lebanon then what do you have? What you have now...a nation that is crumbling, seemingly controlled by the puppetmaster Syria which is controlled by the puppetmaster Iran. Then what?
23. guys, americans....
Lebanon   (02.12.10)
yea as if we are the ones who launched war on Afghanistan and Iraq and killed thousands of innocent ppl based on assumptions... so please when you want to talk about stupidity refer to yourselves,,,, second it is just an act expressing out HATE to Israel :):) and btw the protest wasnt against coffee as 3/4 of you showed in there posts...
24. Exactly - @ priveleges reply
Hani ,   Lebanon   (02.13.10)
We don't appreciate having Starbucks here. One of the reasons is Starbucks's support to our enemy which threatens us by war day and night and supplies the IDF with money. The other reasons would be having better coffee shops in Lebanon, and even more: THEY ARE CHEAPER. Starbucks isn't the BEST here. We got more restaurants and coffee shops in Beirut than any other capital I think (that's all we're good at anyway - food.)
25. protesting
fay ,   eu   (02.14.10)
I think there are more productive ways of protesting the Israeli occupation
26. #23: What about YOUR country?
Joshua ,   Pittsburgh, PA   (02.14.10)
Don't forget that it was YOUR country that started an offensive war in 2006, Saniora's powerless regime notwithstanding.
