1. Give the Gazans their independence already
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (02.11.10)
Hamas and the Palistinians deserve total independence in Gaza. I say: "Let them have it." Total independence. Israel should provide NOTHING for them. Let them be independent. Seal the borders. Nothing in, nothing out. That's independence. Answer me this: why does USA have a border fence and patrols along the Mexican border? Why does the world’s most democratic and liberal country NOT have an “open” border with Mexico? Why does the USA not freely grant entry to every Mexican who wants to enter?
2. #1 achmed from gaza
eyal ,   idf   (02.11.10)
you're making a joke of yourself by using a jewish name... u voted hamas, now face the consequences.
3. to #2 he is cynical, all he said
ghostq   (02.11.10)
stop give gazans even the basic humanitarian shipments Israel provid them despite the blockad.
4. We posters can say it till the cows come home @ 3
James ,   ISRAEL   (02.11.10)
It is incumbent for our Govt to do it. But for reasons applying to the US's appeasement is the problem. Another thing is,we Jews have a moral duty to help them(even though they need it not) and we supply them truckloads of goods, electricity from out grid at Ashekelon that the terror entity lobs rockets over there too. When will our leaders learn???
5. to #4 yeah I know that gazans try to bomb their
ghostq   (02.11.10)
own only source of electricity, if I know anybetter I would think it was a joke, anyway I hope Israeli leaders will be smart enough to stop those services since those people try to destroy it anyway.
6. When playing with fire, expect to be burnt!!!!
Avihu Yardeni ,   Kibbutz Gadot   (02.11.10)
It is time the Arabs of Gaza internalized this simple knowledge, but they continue to play with fire. Is it because they simply don't know what to do with their time since the world is sustaining them anyway?
7. arab news
Ilana   (02.11.10)
where can we read online arab news? And be able to post talkbacks. All the sites I found require email addresses of the postee -hah freedom of speech???
8. To: # 3 ...Misunderstandings do occur.You are right.# 3
James ,   ISRAEL   (02.11.10)
I read the post of # 1 and what he is saying makes sense. He is only saying what most of us would like. His caption floored you eyal. Try and re-read his post, you will then get his meaning.
9. the fruits of disengagement...
tom ,   toronto, canada   (02.11.10)
so why are there no reports in the media of the continual terrorist attacks from gaza against Israeli civilians? and why are there no speeches from the prime minister demanding an end to these war crimes and international protection for sderot? why does israel not demand that washington deliver on its plan of "land for peace" in gaza, before proceeding any further with the half-baked plans of independence for fatahland?
10. #5 - Gazans regularly target crossing, Ind Zones
William ,   Israel   (02.11.10)
Under Hamas, the Gazans regularly attacking border crossings, then cry to the world that they can get goods across. They targeted the Erez industrial Zone, an area where Jews and Gazans worked together and many Gazans had jobs. Under Hamas, dozens of Gazans were killed or injured when they attacked the Industrial Zone. It's closed down now, and the Gazans cry they have high unemployment. In the Western world, we have a whole slew of pschologists who deal with people who purposely hurt themselves for attention and to play the victim. In the Arab world (and with Leftists) we give it the name of "Freedom Fighters" and give them a Nobel Peace Prize.
