2. :: It is more like IDF is disturbing Jewish farmers/sheperds
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (02.12.10)
and is arresting them following frivolous Arab and Leftist complaints, demolishing homes, synagogues, barns, greenhouses, fences instead of searching for Arab terrorists Do your defense job IDF and Jews will not disturb you, I can guarantee that
3. May the soldier's family be comforted among the mourners of
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.12.10)
Zion and it is time to bring back the death penalty so the murdering terrorist can NEVER be released in a stupid prisoner exchange. The politically correct morons of the world think killers should live in a comfortable jail cell and enjoy life while the victim rots in the ground. NO! Just execute them and be done with it, justice DEMANDS it.
4. price tag; a trap for Palestinians
observer   (02.12.10)
the actual removal of an outpost is not an indispensable condition for the eruption of “price tag” incidents. Given that the principal aim of the strategy is to prevent the dismantlement of outposts, “price tag” attacks can be also triggered by an announcement, or even a rumor, about an imminent evacuation. An official Israeli report issued in 2005, “as a rule, the IDF soldiers do not want to act as policemen; even more so they do not want to take part in the confrontations between the settlers and the Palestinians related to land and the control of the area”.
5. Ynet's defence brief for terrorism
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (02.12.10)
I hope Ynet will show media balance by printing this comment. There is no justification for terrorism...period! Attempts to divert blame from the murderer to the victim is tantamount to complicity, especially from a leading medfia such as Ynet. The term 'sources' can also be a method for masking Ynet's own political preference, in effect instead of an external source, one really means someone's opinion. Be advised, that the publc are not fools and using such ruses at random will eventually backfire and cast doubt on the whole media's honesty factor.
6. Sorry, this doesn't work
Alon   (02.12.10)
This spokesperson should go back to the school of diplomacy because his reasoning is extremely faulty. Absurd. The soldier was sitting at a light - he saw an Arab rush at him...he should have been more on alert...or perhaps it was unavoidable...but to blame Jewish settlers is so incredibly stupid it is embarrassing. 1. this was a Druse soldier...so hello...why would he be distracted by Jewish settlers and more importantly 2. this was a Palestinian SENIOR officer...this wasn't some innocent little Palestinian walking across the street who suddenly lost it. Destroy the terrorist's home... Set up better defenses.... Train the soldiers to be more alert And STOP making stupid excuses. This was a terrible attack - I feel so sorry for the soldier's family and thank them for their incredible sacrifice in the face of a common enemy...so, can I please have the job of this spokesperson? I certainly deserve it more than him!
7. THIS is what passes for journalism at Ynet?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (02.12.10)
This ranks among some of the dumbest articles I've encountered on Ynet. It doesn't even make sense, except as a means of channeling the hostility some unnamed IDF "sources" have toward the settlers. It's a classic case of diversion - a "red herring" as we say here.
