The Kochi (Cochin) synagogue is still a big tourist attraction. The local people keep it in good shape and treat it with respect. Most of the local Jews are gone. Many made aliyah. Since Kochi is in the state of Kerala, the same can be said of Kerala Jews. The Kochi community is said to have settled in India after the destruction of the second temple and was mentioned in the book of travels of Benjamin of Tudela.

We all left Malaysia we took the blessing with us too :-) I am here in Singapore, I am in touch with good Hanan.

book about jews in India, just wonder about their community life, sound colors smell, sadly this article about gossip but I bet this community got so much interesting stories, I don't think people aware of this vivid life community. (make it philosophical, really don't care)
